Review and Download (if available)

Chef Boyardee 31-08-2004 02:54 PM

I just downloaded this game, it's REALLY cool. I recommend you all download it too! It reminds me a lot of a group of books I used to read called Shadowrun.

DiamondSoul 31-08-2004 05:16 PM

Great job on the review, interesting and not too long :OK:

Razor2 31-08-2004 05:32 PM

thanks

Guest 31-08-2004 05:39 PM

thank you sooooo much for uploading this game, I have been searching for it quite a while now, and I'm sure I'll download it soon, but right now I don't have enough time to do that (modem connection :sucks: )

revgb 31-08-2004 09:03 PM

yeah i used to read a few shadowrun books as well, this game seems pretty kewl but i hope the walkthrough is comprehensive, i could never bring myself to like games that had relly annoying time critical events.

does anyone know of how many shadowrun games there are out there. My favorite is shadowrun for the, i think it was nintendo (the model b4 the 64) that was a relly cool game

Tom Henrik 31-08-2004 09:28 PM

Yes, the game resembles Shadowrun a little, but also put in Vampire - The Masquerade ;)

Mischa 31-08-2004 09:50 PM

why i dont can downloaded this game?or else too?

Uh... could you clarify that a bit?

DiamondSoul 31-08-2004 10:50 PM

i believe Mischa meant to say "Why can't i download this game? Anyone else have trouble?"

If so, please retry because it seems to be working for the rest of the people.

Kosta 31-08-2004 11:22 PM

Yes, the script is totally fool-proof. It has to work. There is one limitation though. If you were on the actual download page for more than 5 minutes before you clicked download, it will kick you back to the game page

mischa 01-09-2004 05:07 AM

DiamondSoul yes so i mean but i cant downloaded this and else games and, this is only from yesterday

if i come to Please click on the ads above. It will help us improve the site even further and keep it alive. All income is strictly used for paying the server costs. Thank you very much.

and they stand "Get it"
i cant downloaded

2Kosta i know what you says but this is not what i have

sorry for this english if i can say that english is

FreeFreddy 01-09-2004 06:55 AM

Hmm, well, I can download it...
Maybe you didn't activate cookies and such from this site?
1. In the menu of the Internet Explorer, go to Extras - Internetoptions . Then click on the Security or perhaps Safety -tab. At Trusted Sites you can click on the Sites -button below it and add the sites you wish to activate the cookies for. Type https://www.abandonia.com in this case and click on Add.
2. Then click on the Data Security -tab and click there on the most-down button called something like Config or Set up . There you should also add www.abandonia.com and then click on Allow -button

aaberg 01-09-2004 08:13 AM

This game looks really cool. I'm a big fan of the cyberpunk univers, I have never seen this game before, but I'm really looking forward to try it out.

By the way, I didn't have any problems downloading it!. :)

Great job on this one. Great review too. But then again, the majority of abandonia's reviews are very good. :OK:

Kosta 01-09-2004 10:23 AM

There are no cookies and no session variables needed for the download page. It works strictly on forms and posting data. It MUST work.... just click the download button again

Chef Boyardee 01-09-2004 10:31 AM

This game is really challenging and non-linear, I love it! I had a little trouble in the beginning because I had absolutely no clue what to do or what anything meant, and I still don't really know anything, but it's still a ton of fun! Only problem is combat is ridiculously hard.

Tom Henrik 01-09-2004 03:42 PM

Is download managers allowed now? If not that might be the reason why he has problems ;)

Gamers2000 03-09-2004 05:39 AM

wendymaree 03-09-2004 06:21 AM

I've never used XP, so I don't know how it's set up to run, but with windows 98 you need some kind of emm386.exe thing happening in the config sys. I think this allows for expanded memory...? This is how my config sys is optimised for dos games:

rem DOS=SINGLE
Device=c:\windows\himem.sys
Device=c:\windows\emm386.exe RAM
DOS=HIGH,UMB
devicehigh=C:\BTCCDROM.SYS /D:OEMCD001
DEVICE=D:\MOUSE\MOUSE.EXE

Anyhow, someone else from Abandonia who's more technically minded will be able to be put you on the right track :)

Btw, some games need the word 'noems' after 'emm386.exe' to run

Guybrush 03-09-2004 07:38 AM

I got that error message as well but fortunately it is easy to fix. If you are running XP right click bloodnet.exe and click properties. Click the Memory tab and in the Expanded (EMS) memory section change the total from "None" to "1024" and click OK. A new pif file will be created; use this to run the game and it should start right up and work fine.

Actually, you don't need that DEVICE=EMM386.EXE line for Windows 98, it will load itself with Windows automatically. In fact, you even cannot disable Emm386 to be loaded in Windows 98 altogether, which causes problems to some games that require Emm398-memory being disabled.

Did you run the game in DosBox? It's best played in there, too. And you can download it from this main site. All you have to do, is editing the Dosbox.conf file.
Search there for a location that looks like this:
"[dos]
# xms -- Enable XMS support.
# ems -- Enable EMS support.

xms=true
ems=true
"
If the line is "ems=false", simply set it to "true".
;)

wendymaree 03-09-2004 03:01 PM

<<In fact, you even cannot disable Emm386 to be loaded in Windows 98 altogether, which causes problems to some games that require Emm398-memory being disabled.>>

I thought that the word 'noems' after emm386.exe was the disabling command.

FreeFreddy 03-09-2004 03:58 PM

Well, it actually disables the EMS-memory, but the Emm386-driver is still installed, so this doesn't help somehow (at least by my Windows 98 and the old games)...

Guybrush 03-09-2004 04:45 PM

Tried it in DOSBox, but it was kind of laggy. Runs smooth as silk in XP though.

Yeah, I've noticed that about a lot of games. I think Dosbox is only good for the SUPER old games, but not for the relatively newer ones.

Kon-Tiki 19-10-2004 09:13 PM

Anybody know where to get a 16Mb or 32Mb memory chip and an Azrael?

Mad-E-Fact 26-10-2004 06:05 PM

Does this game have speech? I remember reading back then that they had to cut out speech from the AGA Amiga version... but maybe I mix this up with Dreamweb.

Gotta play this one again, I got stuck on it and never finished it... great game with a cool story!

Same here. That's why a friend of mine and me're looking how to crack savegames from that game. Would've done it on my own, but this one's too hard for that. Almost a third of the savegame's suspicious and has the checkup somewhere, but we can't pinpoint it yet, and it's too much to just do it the trial and error way. If we get this done, then there shouldn't be much worrying 'bout humanity-loss anymore :w00t: That'll take the only bad part out of the game (as that was mighty frustrating)

Mad-E-Fact 27-10-2004 02:41 PM

IIRC the loss of humanity only occurs when you suck people dry of blood, but some time into the game you find bottles with blood to use instead, and lateron you find some nano-tech that frees you of the bloodthirst completely, so you actually have to kill only 1 or 2 people at the start for blood.

Kon-Tiki 27-10-2004 07:02 PM

Oops...
Humanity: 27%

Cool.. People playing ancient and superb games. I remember when I bought Bloodnet for my Amiga. I loved this game and finished it. Great game. I would love to see Bloodnet 2 developed with all the modern technologies. woohoo..

:wall: Does anyone know how to get out of cyberspace in this game? Whenever I get into the matrix, I'm stuck with no exit. I think I've pressed every key on my keyboard and I've looked all over the place for a manual or some relative help, but nothing. So now I'm posting here as a last resort. I really like this game, but the cyberspace portion is greatly hindering my enjoyment. Thank you in advance for any help.

Mad-E-Fact 03-11-2004 09:13 AM

right click on the top of the screen to open a menu ;)
right clicking on the bottom in normal mode brings up the party menu.

Guest_Rodeo 25-01-2005 03:12 PM

Hiya! Does anyone know where i can get me a hold of some red lifters? Im trying to experiment with different NPCs and the only way i can get Bonton Himishaka is if i gave him some red lifters. Ive tried searching for it in the car trunk/stores, hospitals, and central park. if anyone has any idea it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Hi all,

Great to see all these cyberpunk games i used to love now being made avail. to d/l. I've been looking all over for Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller - to buy, second-hand and d/l - and i can't find it anywhere. So if you guys at Abandonia manage to find it soon :max: , you'd really make my day :D

Great site btw.

stuntpeople 02-02-2005 11:26 PM

Alright this may be a dumb post but how do you access the inventory? I received the pharmaceutical kit from the guy in the club, then I went into my decking unit I couldn't see it in there. And that's the only place I know of where items are stored.

I know I have it because I can sell it to the guy you buy weapons from. Thanks

Hey I got a few questions about the game, hope someone can help me out here,

How do I inject the blood nanites into stark? I already beat the old vampire and got the doctor to give me a shot of nanites, but instead of stopping my bloodlust it had the same effect as just drinking a bottle of blood.

Where and how do I assemble the body I need to make for elvis?

is there any place where I can find an overview of all the locations in the game so I can check how many I already found?

Thanks

Sinmok 22-02-2005 03:46 PM

Try running it using either DOSbox or VDMSound. If you use DOSbox it should work right away. In VDMSound, you need make sure that the box that says "enable expanded memory" is checked.

This is warez!

The game may have been released as abandonware, but this version is warez.

Read the file dps.nfo: "Spreading only the finest quality warez..."

Perhaps you could get a version which is not from pirates?

A Sparking board finally did the trick for old Elvis to roam the world again!

And how o how should one know? I guess it has got something to do with not having
read the manual where i suspect all these little jury rig reciepts to be listed along with a little
background for the bloodnet cyber world.

However I find myself unable to find the bloodnet manual in the net. Anybody here who could
(and would) help me on on this one please?

This seems like it would be a great game... that is, of course, if I could log out of cyberspace. I've tried clicking on everything I could find, pressed every key on the keyboard and even resorted to randomly mashing the keyboard with my fists. I'm guessing that I'm uncommonly dumb, as I haven't been able to find anyone with a similar problem anywhere on the net, and as such, haven't been able to find a solution.

shane 10-06-2005 11:37 PM

Yes, I figured it out. Yes, I found the previous post regarding the same problem. Yes, I'm an idiot.

darech76 03-07-2005 08:54 AM

Hi, everybody!

Great DOS game, Bloodnet. Still remember much fun breaking the codes and the crossword puzzles. But...

I recall finding a Ghost Jacket once... apparently you get it off a Sid 'n' Nancy (if I recall rightly), but for the life of me I can't seem to find the pair who sells it. A reference in text form can also be found in one of the files of the game, but I can't figure out where the pair are or how to trigger it if it is event sensitive.

Palo Alto 24-07-2005 11:45 AM

Has anyone got hints as to how to complete the last battle? Im trying to figure out what type of armour withstands the white noise blaster (i.e. sonic energy). Im also finding it increasingly difficult after killing the first three in the first screen (Lash Givens, Melissa Van Helsing and Nimrod), I can't choose a new armour piece when im up against the Security Captain in the second screen. I use a Refraction Shield to withstand Nimrod's Laser Rifle, but when i enter the second screen, im stuck with this piece of armour, and I cant switch to the Electrolytic Suit to withstand the Security Captain's Electrical Storm. :help: (hope i made sense!)

Amayirot Akago 24-07-2005 12:34 PM

Hmmmm. I tried this game once. Interesting concept, but I never really got far because I'm not all that much into RPGs. But after hearing everybodies positive remarks I might give this one another try.

Guest 26-07-2005 02:56 PM

anyone got a copy of the manual? I can't figure out some parts of the game.

Palo Alto 27-07-2005 09:27 AM

I finally figured it out. It doesnt seem like anyone has the manual. Does anyone know how to take screenshots of this game?

Guest 27-07-2005 09:32 AM

For people stuck on some quests, you may want to check this site out: http://members.lycos.co.uk/stygianabyss/bloodnet.html, by a fan.

*caution theres lots of spoilers*

Guest 06-08-2005 03:46 PM

How do i get the Babel code? from looking up the walkthroughs i know its in the Well "NOUN". But where does this "NOUN" come from? does someone tell it to you? or do you just guess it?

Guest 04-09-2005 01:40 AM

I know the one thing that got me stuck waaay back when was an address code in the intro movie. I always skipped the movie, and got stuck later on.

Good game, this was.

darech76 22-09-2005 04:20 AM

Hmmm... still no ideas on finding the Ghost Jacket?

Aw, heck... cold storage until it gets uncovered, then.

Warning: possible spoilers ahead

In my honest opinion, I think the game designers aren't entirely on the ball in designing the final battle. I mean, look at it this way: after playing 80% of the game, you kind of understand that the best character to start off with ought to be really skilled in Blades and Firearms (for the Blessed Holy Blade and Sawn-off Shotgun). Understanding that the final battle is solo, that makes the player a glutton for pain if he doesn't use a character with high stats in those two attributes.

Guest 01-11-2005 04:07 AM

Can anybody give me a quick rundown for the controls for the game? Cyberspace especially. I've tried searching for a manual but haven't been able to come up with anything.

Thanks.

hr watson 09-11-2005 05:41 AM

good lord, i can't get past the final battle - i stupidly didn't boost my combat levels in the beginning of the game, and now i'm paying for it. can anyone tell me the recommended weapons/armor to use? i can't get past the 2nd image -

thanks!

the controls are pretty easy. as someone mentioned before in cyberspace, you right click in the upper right corner of the screen to open a menu bar - this will allow you to search, save, or access yr cyberspace deck (which is really the only thing you'll be doing in cyberspace). make sure you search while yr in cyberspace - that's the only way to find things.

as far as the game goes - moving is easy - just hold down left click where you want yr avatar to move.

to pick up items, right click on them, then either drag them into yr inventory, or put them over yr avatar and left click.

to access the menu, just bring the mouse up to the top of the screen.

to get to stats/inventory either hit "1" which pulls up stark's stat screen and from there you can access everyone else. or right click on the bottom of the screen to pull up everyone's stats.

when fighting, if you right click a few times early in a combat turn - you can access the combat menu at the beginning of the next round *very important* - if a character was aiming at something specific - he'll just stop doing anythign once that character is dead - so you need to be able to tell him to aim at another person, or use a stake, etc etc.

hope this helps,

-joshua...

Guest 10-11-2005 06:16 AM

Copy and pasted - thank you Joshua. Too bad I'm addicted to Darklands right now, but I'll definately get back to Bloodnet.

joshua 11-11-2005 09:08 AM

okay, so i ended up beating the game.

to the person who isn't able to switch armors - if you were switching armors between every battle, you should still be able to. no reason why it's not working. i still couldn't figure out what armor would defeat van helsing's daughter - but i lucked out - partially cus i replayed the whole game - but this time w/ pumped fighting abilities. ;)

this is truly a great game - the dialog is very well written - fun, if yr a fan of the cyberpunk genre - neuromancer, bladerunner - the game makers obviously read/watched those works many times. living in nyc, it's also kind of fun to play a game that follows the new york landscape pretty closely.

i was really excited to play this game after years away from it (i think i may have been 15 or so when the game came out - and i had just discovered william gibson) and so i have some pretty good memories for this one. it really does set up a great atmosphere - and i'll say it over and over again - but the dialog and plot are fun.

my only complaints are thus - and considering how old this game is, it's not bad - like many people say - the controls are a little off - and combat system is a pain in the behind - very easy, but it just takes a while - if you want to do it right - you have to change what each character is doing each round - very slow and dull. also - the puzzles are pretty difficult - if it weren't for that walkthrough - certain things you can figure out - but things like leaving items next to people or in certain places - that one was rough.
i also wish that when you were generating characters that it actually kind of made a difference. basically, anything other then being a good fighter is a waste - the talents you don't have you can find through the members in yr party. when i was a kid, i thought i would be this bad behind rogue net cowboy, like a gibson character. but nope, you gotta play the street samurai if yr going to make it through this.

that, and i can honestly say the ending is a pretty big let down considering the amount of time that the writers spent on the game itself - like i said before, the dialog is great, the plot is a really fun cyber-noir-goth thriller - they didn't cut any corners there...so why on the ending? it was really a let down. and what little they do give you kind of implies that they were going to make a second one. of course.

but everything else is great - amazing atmosphere - great graphics (for the time period - way more character then anything today, imho) - and oddly enough, even though the sound work is minimal - the same 4 songs or so kind of repeat over and over again - i actually really enjoyed it. don't know why - perhaps it just brought back good memories of trying to play this game when i was a kid.

anyways. if the creators are out there, lurking somewhere. my hat's off to you.

Hi Joshua...did u figure out where to get the "NOUN" well from? For some reason the walkthrogh doesnt explain it.

Guest 29-01-2006 08:55 PM

you get the well's adress by solving benny puzzle's riddle

Menasor 01-02-2006 03:57 PM

benny's puzzle never made sense...!

Mysterious Stranger 25-03-2006 07:47 PM

I own the game and I wouldn't mind scaning the manual if someone from Abandonia wants to upload it (around 40 pages).

The Fifth Horseman 28-03-2006 03:49 PM

That would be most welcome.
Register an account and PM Kosta on the subject. He will give you a password to our Incoming server (that is where the files are uploaded from the contributors).

Borodin 28-03-2006 07:41 PM

anyways. if the creators are out there, lurking somewhere. my hat's off to you.

Last I heard, the pair had gone to work for Microprose back in its heyday, and then joined another game company. No word since. Nice folks, too.

aynish 11-08-2006 12:33 PM

hello. just got back to the game, and love to play it (again, now maybe solving it, after about six years)
and I really am not in need of a walkthrough.
but! I would like to ask this question:

do I need to solve the benny puzzle's, well, puzzle? I mean I understand there is at least another way, from a quick look on the walkthrough - which I did to make sure it was not a copyprotection thing...
but I really hate to work that one out, since I am not a native english speaker, a couple of those things just don't ring a bell... so the question really is: is there a chance to sort of go around it, and still not cheat... to get the address somewhere? or not?

sorry for the long verbal overflow, but I was not sure I knew what I wanted to know :brain:
thanks for anyone who can clear this thing out and help me relax and get on with the game

Delibator 08-09-2006 12:16 PM

hi guys!

I just want to say this.

The game is very good in general, but there is a major flaw.
The combat really SUCKS.

Anyway another problem is the lack of a manual, i can´t find it anywhere on the net.
I think the manual would explain many things in the game like the attack power of the weapons.
A shame really. There is a guide out there called the COMPLETE BLOODNET´S GUIDE, at some time it tell us to consult the manual. Daaaaaaaaa . Now that´s a complete guide.

If someone of you possess the manual, send me a mail to [DEET! DEET! DEET!]@yahoo.com i will be interested...

Sorry, bud. No posting emails in the open. That's also for your own good - you don't want spambots getting it, trust me.

Delibator 13-09-2006 02:33 PM

that´s a spam email anyway. No problem. Can i post my email?

The Fifth Horseman 13-09-2006 04:12 PM

No.

Hello, I have the memory problem too.
Only thing is, even when i change the Expanded memory to 1024
from the properties of Bloodnet.exe, it still gives me the
"No expanded memory was found. etc, etc..."

Any ideas?

Thanx in advance..

Mighty Midget 15-09-2006 05:28 PM

Do you use dos-box? Is your dos box configured to use EMS? In the Dos Box Conf. (start -> programmes -> Dos Box -> conf if my memory serves me right) you can set it to true if it's set to false.

No I use VdmSound.

Just tried it with dosbox and it works, but when i switch to fullscreen
nothing shows up.(Arghhhhhhhhhh)
Since I believe Vdms is way easier than Dosbox, if you have any
ideas on how i can make it work with Vdms,
they would be much appreciated...

When I try to enter an address at a FATS while in cyberspace,
I get a "Cyberskills are too low for my circuitry to interpret

Anyone knows what this message is?

The Fifth Horseman 18-09-2006 01:45 PM

DosBox can be configured to start up already in fullscreen. Try that.

Great game!!

Did the manual ever get scanned?

Fenril 25-09-2006 02:02 PM

Finished this game ages ago, nice to play it now with a guide available, anyone know what are the most effective weapons fighting enemies besides vampires?

From what I remembered the shotgun did wonders, but after a couple of combats im doubting, maybe later in the game ill get better results.

Delibator 26-09-2006 11:12 AM

A guide is available? Where? A guide walktrough(spoiler) or something like a manual? If its spoiler i dont want it.

Steve-o 03-11-2006 01:04 AM

Did anyone else have issues trying to get the sound to work for this game? I've tried both DOSbox and the cmd prompt, but with no luck.

I'm running a Soundblaster Pro and an Win XP OS. I've heard other people complain of this, but no solutions.

This was my favorite game as a kid, I'll kill to get it workin. :sos:

The Fifth Horseman 07-11-2006 12:12 PM

Did you configure the game's internal setup properly to match the sound emulation settings you've got in DosBox?

Guest 31-08-2007 12:01 PM

I need help fighting Melissa. D:

I can't hit her with stakes, or soul blades as her agility is too high.

So I tried using the flame thrower, and it seems to work, except it looks as if she heals or something?

And is the force field the correct armour to use? It still gives me a load of damage and I end up dying. DDx I dun wanna replay the whole game just to boost my fighting stats. ]:

Would have to agree, this version was amazing for it's time though...

Except that the Amiga AGA version was on 12 disks with persistant swapping so I had to buy an HD :(

I loved quests. But about eight years ago I found this game - and it killed my love. It's a great, a real quest - so others are dull, dim & unnatural after this.

Has anybody got a manual? Unable to find it yet, but i think it's necessary to getting know the gameplay and understand the world, skills etc. if anybody has it, please make it accessible it somehow (i.e: on a homepage, here at abandonia, etc.) or send me (ds024775r7 as username at gmail.com service).[hope i dont hurt the forum rules by this post]
:sos:

Generally game is great, however sometimes the controls, idiot net graphics and bad fight system kills it.

Banjo 08-11-2007 11:16 AM

Another call for the manual here... I read here that it had been scanned (and possibly submitted)...

http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?s...=3133&st=90

... but I still can't find it on the site!

Anyone have any more info on where to find a copy of it?

Cheers,
Banjo

Hi,

Banjo just PM-ed me for the manual.
I've tried a couple of times to email it (or an url where i put it temporarily becaus i was getting mailbox limit replies) to abandonia, but no replies so far.

For those who want the manual right away:
For the time being it (zipped PDF file) is still available at:
http://home.hetnet.nl/~j.rijnbout/bloodnet_manual.zip

If an Abandonia admin reads this: i gues you're pretty busy with the new website, but could you tell me how to get the Bloodnet manual to you? (ftp adres & login or something?)
That way people can download the manual from Abandonia (seems the perfect place for it :kosta:), and don;t have to contact me directly.

If you want, I can uploads it. Like you said the Admins are busy with the new Site so they have no time to deal with it. Ask a Updater (Romano, Sebatianos, Tulac, etc) next time per PM (after this per Email if necessary) if you want to provide anything.

A little more hard facts about your PC, operating system and what you did when trying to run the game would be helpful. As it is, I can only ask: Did you use DOSBox? If not, download it, install it, read the guides found on these fora and set it up. Then run the game through DOSBox.

(Only recommended if your PC is faster than 1 GHz and you have more than say, 128 mb of ram.)

BlazeL 01-06-2008 10:17 PM

When I click the 'Get It' button, I just (eventually) end up with 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. Has the download been moved?

Thanks,

Editing BloodNet saves

:mhh::(Decking ain't cheap, we all know that. Here's a way to make things go a tad
bit easier for you. In any bloodnet save game, load it up in your favorite
Hex-editor (We used DiskEdit from Norton) and go to offset 842 (Hex 34A)
change the 3 bytes there to FF FF FF (I.E. 34A will be FF, 34B will be FF,
etc.), now, the microporse people were trying to be tricky, they decided to
check for cheaters and save the money location twice. Now go to offset 17,769
(Hex 4569), look familiar? I thought so. Do the same thing and VIOLA! You now
have 16.7 Million virtual dollars! Have fun!

for me now no result when trying make it last time....:mhh::oh:

mjdv666 14-11-2009 12:53 PM

:thumbs:damn good game, thanks for uploading.

Gargantou 02-01-2010 05:38 PM

Couple of questions about the game itself.

1. Is it as the manual states that the humanity indicator is always slowly edging towards becoming a vampire, which in other words means that there is a timelimit to the game itself and how long you can keep it going?

2. If the answer to 1 is yes, is it possible to keep playing with your current character after defeating the time-limit by beating the game, sorta like the BAT games(Also RPGs mixed with adventure and action)?

Thanks for any helpful replies!

Edit: Comeon, surely someone knows?

Yeah, I got that, too. When you try to go to the 'hope' well in the first screen, if your cyberskills are low then you can't get in.

I messed around with character creation a bit, and it seems that in order to access WELLS through the FATS modules, you need a minimum of 25 points in all three cyberskills.

...which is totally not worth it, since you can just get the patch cord and pretty much any other team member and use their cyberskills to deck into cyberspace.

Those skill points should instead be spent on blades, firearms, agility and observation - pretty much the only important skills in the game.

BTW, I love this game, even though it sucks in so many ways.

baracus 29-04-2011 09:09 PM

hey can someone give me a view guideline hints as to what do i have to consider when i play this game, its well known i guess that it is hard and has also dead end situations especially without the manuals.... so i wanna avoid the biggest troubles i might run in.

Can anyone tell me where in the game you learn about the well, "noun", which contains the Babel Code as well as a piece of Charlie Flyer's mind? The Babel Code is required in order to translate the note that Gerry Soo gives you, which you need to do in order to learn about Cyril Thorpe's well, "medium". The piece of Charlie Flyer's mind is required in order to revive him and get him as a party member.

There is also an access code required to get into the "noun" well, which is "SZ UP BA HM KC R ND PM CB". I'm not sure where you're told about this, either.
