PrejudiceSucks 24-08-2005 02:32 PM

*sighs*

Oh well. We have people's wives/partners/fathers/grandfathers here, so I don't see why we shouldn't have little sisters...

edit : Oh yeah, and Amy, people already do

Doc Adrian 24-08-2005 02:40 PM

Hello and welcome to all the new forum members and distant relatives =)

The Fifth Horseman 24-08-2005 02:48 PM

Two little girls running around the forum... disaster... the first sign of apocalypse is upon us...

;) Just joking. Nice to see more people around.

PrejudiceSucks 24-08-2005 04:15 PM

She's 12. But there we are. And she's not that little, she's about 5' 7".

Sebatianos 24-08-2005 04:50 PM

Oh my go... (no wait - I'm an theist) ...odness (good save :D )!!!

It's the invasion of little sisters... Lucky for me I only have an older brother... But my sister-in-law (rainwife's kid sister) is younger and might enjoy the forum.
Should I tell her to join?

BTW - Welcome to the forum little sisters (both of you).

Tom Henrik 24-08-2005 04:58 PM

Welcome to both of you :ok:

(I hope my little sister don't show up  )

Just kidding :bleh:

Scarface 24-08-2005 05:05 PM

Welcome to the forum

BTW- where are the older sisters??? :D

moogle 24-08-2005 06:11 PM

Hello.

PrejudiceSucks 24-08-2005 07:28 PM

On the internet, people just don't have older sisters. It's a strange time/space rift that occurs.

Aristharus 24-08-2005 07:37 PM

Oh my god. I can't think of any friend of mine who's active on any online forum that would have an older sister!

Now THIS is odd!

But oh yeah, anyway: Welcome, little sisters!

Hello and welcome to the forum SailorMars

Kon-Tiki 24-08-2005 08:40 PM

12 years and already 5'7" I need to grow, and quick! Anyways, welcome to the forums :)

punch999 24-08-2005 10:05 PM

I sadly only have a big sister and brother which both are nearing 40.

I guess i figure im a only child

Kon-Tiki 24-08-2005 10:09 PM

And that you have fairly old parents

punch999 24-08-2005 10:26 PM

HAHAHAHAHHAHA thats genius

Playbahnosh 24-08-2005 11:57 PM

I guess I'm the only only-child here :P

Wellcome little sisters! :)

I was thinking about how good would be if I had a sister or a bro, but I like being an only-child. I don't have to share anything :D

Aristharus 25-08-2005 12:05 AM

I have two brothers, both more than 10 years older than me. I didn't have to share much, as you probably guessed. :)

They both moved out before I was 10. And the few last years before that they were home about 1 night/week.

lethe 25-08-2005 12:23 AM

If people had older sisters, they'd be busy going out with his sisters' girlfriends instead of sitting home in front of a computer.

Only-child too  But I have an older cousin

Hate to break it to ya Joe, but most schools use metric now, so no one knows the imperial mesure symbols.

Iron_Scarecrow 26-08-2005 03:51 PM

Well I'm 178cm's. But this doesn't help me figure out who I am taller than.

Anyway I was once a twin, until the other one was lost due to a miscarriage, it was lucky I survived.

BeefontheBone 26-08-2005 03:59 PM

5' 11" = 178cm

Google might help ya!

Klick here!

1' = 12"

So, 178cm is a bit over 5' 10"

Iron_Scarecrow 26-08-2005 04:23 PM

I know there are 12 inches in a foot. I didn't know how many cm's in an inch.

BeefontheBone 26-08-2005 05:12 PM

2.5, near enough.

And how little is your little sister?

Danny252 27-08-2005 02:08 PM

Iron_Scarecrow 28-08-2005 10:56 AM

Trust me, you guys DO NOT want my little sister to get on! (She's somewhere between 9 and 11 years old, I can't remember. Very hyperactive and immature)

She would probably say something like this:

baelsdlkablsdbgalaskjlb lablaballaseihaowhhoowooeeoohwoo!!!!!!!

:bleh:

Abi79 28-08-2005 05:49 PM

Good Lord, Indignus, how can you forget how old is your sister ?

Danny252 28-08-2005 05:56 PM

its easy.
my sister is 11. or 12...

SupSuper 28-08-2005 09:03 PM

18. I could've sworn I'd've already took a mistake marge in with that 16, instead of 14  Man, do they grow quickly. Before you know it, they're older than yourself.

It rocks being tall.

Sebatianos 29-08-2005 09:36 AM

As much as some peolpe (kids :bleh: ) will hate me for it, I gonna say it anyway. You are still little (young, children). True, you're not little babies anymore and many of you may be quite mature (I've met 12 year-olds with more common sense then 40 year-olds), but trust me on this one - when you get above 20 you'll look back at your life and you'll see how childish you were at the age of 12/13/14.

It's all perfectly natural - after all at that time you'll be older and will know/experianced much more life (it's one thing to try something, but it's a different thing to actually be living something). You'll see when you'll become fully independant.

How to know when you're fully independant?
1) You start thinking what are you going to eat next (you'll either start making your own meals or start going out and pay for your meals yourself - no body else will interfeere with our eating habbits)
2) You'll be doing your own laundry (you'll have to use the washing machine yourself - and you'll have to start buying your own washing powder/liquid - depends what you'll use)
3) No body will control you where/when you are (you'll have to make sure to wake up in time not to miss what you have to do - and most importaint - you'll learn when to go to sleep so you won't resemble a zombie the very next morning)
4) Money will become a worry (it will be more importaint to pay the next electric, phone, cable,... bill then to buy that game, those shooes, that sweater,...)
5) You'll start missing the carefree days of your youth (when your biggest worry was that the adoults would finally take you seriously and stopped treating you like a little kid)

PrejudiceSucks 29-08-2005 09:53 AM

Hmm I already regret wasting my life on computer games. Oh well...

Sebatianos 29-08-2005 10:43 AM

That's not a wasted life - it's just a waste of money usually (everybody loves a good computer game - and some will stay with you for decades to come - but you'll think a few more times if you really need the new San Andres 2 game or would you rather pay the oil check-up for your car) :D

Indeed. Nostalgia is a sure indicator that you're getting old - or older at least - and it can be a real killer at times. Funny, though, I don't remember worrying too much about whether anyone took me seriously when I was younger. I don't know why; I guess maybe the people who mattered to me took me seriously enough.

Well I didn't worry about that either, but I observe behaviour of these young teenagers daily (I'm a teacher) and this has become a serious obsession.

It reminds me of the attitude Alex had in the Clockwork Orange (the book) believing he has mastered the world already and is fully self sufficiant - this is what kids wish to achieve nowdays (lucky for us old geezers they aren't attacking us with chains all the time :D ).

You're not old, you're young (for me even a 49-years-old man is young, but when it reaches 50 becomes old in my eyes) and why should we attack you ? You're a...teacher ARGH. I'm coming after you, Sebatianos. Hahahahaha

Oh, yes. I do miss the carefree days of my youth, but I miss much more the year 2004, when me with a  ... Oh nothing, nothing. (One day I'm gonna' make all those rich and famous boys in my class dissapear  , but until then everyone's little sister is welcome)
