Rayden, very cool and reminds me of the character from Big Trouble in Little China by the great Carpenter.
I have recently only played the first one so I do not remember the new characters, but even so I remember when playing the 2 and 3 to still prefer Rayden.

Scorpion was the first one that actually talked english in MK I think.

My favourite was Baraka....until i met Noob Saibot.

My all-time fav in every MK is Sub Zero.

He's fast, has nice tricks and doesn't look as stupit as some of the other show-offs (e.g. Jonny Cage).

My second fav is Baraka - I like his blades ...

Scorpion; the easiest character (easiest fatality)

Playing MK DA at the moment, and fav character is still Scorpion. :) (Scorpio used to be my nick on other forums)

I'd say Sub-Zero, because his easy as well as very cool moves.

I don't think that they should've put in stupid new characters after MK Trilogy. Example: who the f*ck is Bo Rai Cho? An idiot, thats what. Sh*t like that ruined the new MK series + many other dopes.

Anyway: Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the main characters of the MK saga. Theyre the best.

Baraka FTW! He's hella sadistic, he's got big teeth, and freakin' swords that pop out his arms with a cool "schwing" sound. What's there not to love?

I remember a funny guy from high school. People used to call him Baraka, and he really looked alike. The only difference was that he didn't have any swords.

Sadly, there is no "none" or "I don't really care" option on the poll.

I am one of the "strange" guys in the whole world who never found attraction in MK. Blood? Yeah, and after that? Nothing. Just like Street Fighter; boring.

Don't forget the "Finish him !" part and the "Fatality" part. Those words can operate a strange magic on some male minds. I never was a big fan of those games but i played a little MK. I voted Rayden because he was the only one that seemed to have genuine personality (sorry troop18546 but Scorpio is just a yellow ninja. Yellow ninja ? :blink: :ph34r: ).

It's not about the appearance (well Scorpion kicks behind in that already), but the story is mainly about the fights of Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

He's not just a yellow Ninja! He is the best MK character!

What changes him is that he's a ressurected Ninja from Hell, and he has those cool "take off his mask to reveal his skull" specials.
Not to mention he has the best fatalities.

And "Get over here!" has become a trademark catchphrase for the series. ;)

I shall repeat my saying "he was the first MK character who spoke in English". Thats why I liked "Get over here!".

Not to mention that Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Reptile were the original Ninjas, they just went crazy and kept adding more and more ninjas.

All the MK Trilogy players should have been enough, but nooooooooooo... :whistle:

And then came the female ninjas, too: Kitana, Mileena, Jade, Chameleon...

Sub-Zero is the one and only :D
In MKII he was a bit weak, but in MkIV in own everyone with him :D

But the most powerful must be Scorpion or Liu Kang.

Motaro. A centaur from quasi-hell who looks just like that. How could one NOT love that?

As far as player-characters go, it's a tie between Sub Zero (for the sheer outrageousness of his original finisher... made my jaw drop when I first saw it in the arcade and DESPITE his rather lousy outfit) and Kano (baaaaad MoFo... eat your heart out... almost literally). I really liked Barakka as well. There are in fact only few characters in the first two games that I didn't like (I never had a tsung for Shang Thing... errr... right... and having an abundance of similiar looking characters who only differ in colour does not really help a game that has the same basic moves for all the characters anyway ), but it quickly went downhill with each episode after that until DA came out.

Raiden, he's kind of mystical, the lightning bolts and the flying punch. The similarity to Big Trouble in Little China is to one of the three same-hooded "storms", one of them could also shot lightning and use it otherwise.

Scorpion was always my favorite. Best fighter for me however was Rayden, hands down. Easiest to control, easiest moves to remember.

I actually wrote a pretty decent guide to MK's confusing storyline. I'd post it up here, but I don't think it belongs here. So, if someone can tell me where I can post it up, i'll do so.
