Yobor 28-05-2005 08:32 PM

I was wondering if anyone heard of this before. A kid broke his thumbs while playing Playstation, and he's suing Sony. Heres a picture: http://70.85.81.229/2799/118/upload/p665661.jpg

Puffin 28-05-2005 08:34 PM

Do you have any links to news or something about it?

Yobor 28-05-2005 08:35 PM

Sorry nope. It was very recent, and I don't really know how to find stuff like that.

DeathDude 28-05-2005 08:35 PM

Hmm haven't heard of it myself, yeah a news link might help though.

TheGiantMidgit 28-05-2005 08:38 PM

Those don't look broken to me. ...and breaking both thumbs simultaniously is a bit off too.

BeefontheBone 28-05-2005 08:39 PM

LOL - those wold be some very very broken thumbs! methinks 'tis a joke.

UnHoly 28-05-2005 08:44 PM

This is really stupid. If you broke your finger, leg, hand itp on your PE lesson do you sue your teacher? I doubt it. This guy propably want to get some money and he think that's would be a great idea to get it from SONY.

Yobor 28-05-2005 08:50 PM

The legal system is in sad shape these days. :ranting:

MdaG 28-05-2005 08:55 PM

It's probably just a hoax.

Bernie 28-05-2005 08:56 PM

LOL... those thumbs are not broken.... he's just stretching them... further then what other people can... hmmm... freakish..

Shunk Eat Enemy 28-05-2005 09:00 PM

:bleh: OMG LOL this is so funny

Lizard 28-05-2005 09:03 PM

LOL LOL LOL
Good one. Well if he have good luck(and lawyers) he will get few thousand dollars, and Sony will lost half percent of its daily income....
Btw I am just curious, but how you can actually broke your thumbs that way when playing PS (i mean they are pointed outside, how the hell he was wielding the control pad? )

taikara 28-05-2005 09:03 PM

I call a hoax, I can do that with my thumbs too

Tulac 28-05-2005 09:04 PM

COME ON PEOPLE I CAN DO THAT WITH MY FINGERS!!!!!

troop18546 28-05-2005 09:05 PM

They look broken (i cant bend my thumbs like that), but come on - breaking thumbs? A total dope. And both? No comment...

Yobor 28-05-2005 09:06 PM

Heheh. Well I thought they were broken.

He'll probably get money regardless.

Tulac 28-05-2005 09:17 PM

A boy breaks his finger while surfing on Abandonia, a massive lawsuit expected

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...05-05_2211.jpg

DeathDude 28-05-2005 09:24 PM

Yeah looks like a hoax to me

@Tulac: OH NOES! AHHH :blink:

taikara 28-05-2005 09:43 PM

@Tulac: I most definitely think that you should make that pic your profile piccy :D

Danny252 28-05-2005 09:48 PM

LMAO thats the only thing I've really laughed at all day (I overcame my substitute for it, l-o-l. amazing.)

Tulac 28-05-2005 09:51 PM

I can do more ugly things with my fingers, but I don't want to scare you all away :sneaky:...(at least they're an advantage while playing guitar)

Danny252 28-05-2005 09:54 PM

I can crack all my fingers in turn. and sometimes me toes...

Flop 28-05-2005 10:18 PM

What kind of a lawsuit is that Tulac? One measly thumb? The Sony Kid at least broke two. :D

And I doubt Kosta is worth quite as much as Sony. :)

Tulac 28-05-2005 10:34 PM

I can break two, the whole hand if need be :D
You're right about Kosta, I should find a bigger fish, Microsoft, maybe?

Tulac 28-05-2005 11:19 PM

LOL you're right they're all broken :D

BeefontheBone 28-05-2005 11:19 PM

who made your mouse and keyboard? try them.

Tulac 28-05-2005 11:22 PM

And again the answer is (for the mouse) - Microsoft...

Flop 28-05-2005 11:34 PM

Who cares? I say sue Microsoft, they have the money. You might as well sue McDonalds now you're at it, they seem to be a favoured target for lawsuits at the moment. :D

Tulac 28-05-2005 11:35 PM

Yeah, suing tobacco companies is like lame-o...(and the fact that I don't smoke)
OK sorry admins this is enough OT (if there was any) from me...

omg 29-05-2005 01:06 AM

the only people who have been allowed to sue tobacco companys are people who grew up in the days when tobacco was advertised as being healthy (a popular phrase from ad's at the time was "tobacco adds life") i think those people have a right to sue the companys. anyone born after that time is legally unallowed to sue i think.

Yobor 29-05-2005 01:10 AM

Well I never imagined 3 whole pages.

Sadly, there is a lot of hype now about suing people. Like, a burglar came and sued a guy after a window he was scaling broke. Pathetic.

Karn Shiroshi 29-05-2005 05:38 AM

Woah..that's a Legend of Legaia box...I totally forgot about that game..Er..sorry for the late post on this one. It's just too strange to pass up. I really doubt its possible to break your thumbs like that though, unless you got REALLY mad at the game..but still...ouch.

http://www.seanbaby.com/news/lawsuits.htm contains offensive terms, but awesomly funny

http://www.seanbaby.com/news/images/lawsuits02.jpg

Nature's lottery ticket lurks beneath the waves, testing the water for the scent of blood. In seconds, his prehistoric jaws will tear away most of a man, but leave behind fabulous cash and prizes.

PrejudiceSucks 29-05-2005 09:27 AM

holy crap... it's like there are jokes in my mouth and everyone's invited!

Oh yes, anyone who thinks about suing me over my shark-like razor teeth (of which I have 17 sets, like a shark) will be beaten up by Donkey Kong.

Nuff said.

Oh did you know that someone got a really bad bone problem in thier hands that builders and miners get from jackhammers by playing on one of those vibrating pads for a few years (like 10 hours a day, mind).

What a sad world we live in.

Grinder 29-05-2005 04:25 PM

1. Yuck!

2. Is he bored or what?

3. I have a friend who can do that.

4. Well if he needs the money...

5. ridiculous...

6. Why does he play so much anyway...

7. Yuck!

TheChosen 29-05-2005 04:36 PM

Whenever there is a murder they should check the murderer's house for video games/computer games and consider possible lawsuits.

I already attempted to sue ID Software after I was assulted.

troop18546 31-05-2005 01:45 PM

What changed your mind? :D

omg 01-06-2005 01:04 AM

your topic got moved because you put it in the wrong place.

Doc Adrian 02-06-2005 06:08 AM

Sameeralord 02-06-2005 06:50 AM

So it's a challenge?

I can do more grose stuff, I'll post em later(if admins don't close it)...

Doubler 06-06-2005 06:37 PM

Well, I'm quite the freak. Lacking my errm... (what are those bones called in English  ) ...whatever.
The point is I can pretty much put my shoulders together :D

PrejudiceSucks 06-06-2005 06:38 PM

Shoulder Blades? Ribs?

Doubler 06-06-2005 06:51 PM

Those bones holding your shoulder's in place LOL
In Dutch their called sleutelbeenderen.

Cyclers have a tendency to break them.

A. J. Raffles 06-06-2005 06:52 PM

Collarbones, you mean?

Doubler 06-06-2005 06:53 PM

Propably

PrejudiceSucks 06-06-2005 06:53 PM

Your spine!

Now that would really be something, wouldn't it :bleh:

Havell 06-06-2005 06:59 PM

Shoulderblades

PrejudiceSucks 06-06-2005 06:59 PM

@Tulan LOL I don't know that you could ride a bike any more though.

I'm not sure that it's quite what you mean. I think that your collar bone could well be it.

@Havell - already suggested it.

Havell 06-06-2005 07:00 PM

I can also do lots of other stuff that supposed to be impossible, like licking my elbow and touching my elbows behind my back.

PrejudiceSucks 06-06-2005 07:00 PM

Ah elbow-licking. I did it once, I swear!

Ummm I have double-jointed thumbs which is cool.

Doubler 06-06-2005 07:03 PM

-Googling now-
It connects the errm... Scapula with the errr... Sternum.

Havell 06-06-2005 07:04 PM

Ribs?

Doubler 06-06-2005 07:05 PM

I do not lack ribs, I assure you LOL
Forget it... Human anatomy is clearly not our strongest point LOL
