Still trying to find a game..

Looking to know if you guys know any games that are similar to realm of choas as far as graphics...setting being in a graveyard etc..It was a side scroller and I believe you either had a sword and a bow and arrow or the enemies used to shoot arrows..

Game was probably a little older then this by a few years because it wasnt as flashy but I do remember when you died u kind of crumbled into a pile of blood and guts...help me out!..

1) Your game was on amiga
2) Your game was on not a PC-game, but on amiga

The game wasnt (only) on Amiga I just played it on my PC with dosbox

and no its not monster bash its more serious and dark...

You know man I thought it was nightbreed..i kept running into it and the title rang a bell but it wasnt it..It does start off light nightbreed right in the middle of the cemetary...

The figure you control was a greek lookin dude with the tunic and sandals and all..know what I mean? This shit is impossible to find

Well, for now I can tell you that you shouldn't have opened new topic, just revive old one (which is not that old mind you). I got interested for this game in first topic, but I have run out of ideas... Any clue when have you played the game? Is it from mid 80es or perhaps newer with retro graphics? And you're sure it is PC?

Check Cold Dreams and Atlantis for some Greek feel to it, but no cemeteries. Also check Stormlord and Risky Woods... At least those games are good so you can have fun before discovering it... You sure it was DOS game again?

Hmm, I forgot, both Ghosts'n'Goblins (and Ghouls too) was mentioned already?

100 percent sure this was a dos game as I only owned a PC back then.


See everyone is on the right track here...except it wasnt ghost and goblins or ghouls and ghosts...It was definitely wasnt a mainstream title..

As far as when I played the game it had to be around 94-97 but I believe the game was already abandoneware....From the graphics etc it had to be from anywhere between 1988-1994..

For some reason I remember getting it from HappyPuppy.com or from mobeygames (which I have searched but will look again)

Why not trying Demon Stalker as well, it won't hurt... It's not side-scroller, but what a heck

Marko..im gonna check out atlantis...and those other titles (other titles mainly because they look cool)..atlantis is a close match though!

In case you still haven't found the game, check out this Amiga game The Sword and the Rose. I posted C64 version before but this may look like what you're looking for, although you played it on PC, you never know. Also, hero dies at 5:00 of the movie so check that as well to see does that look like those blood and guts you mentioned.

The description also reminds me of altered beast and i think it was made for pc too.

Its funny that you mention that..because I believe that there was an old dude that brought your player from the grave (not altered beast for sure though)

The other thing I remember is your life gauge being a candle sitting on top of a skull..having to shoot arrows or arrows being shot at you...The game closely resembles nightbreed, realm of chaos, and nightwalk..
