My mother has been pretty sick for over a week and now I have caught the bug as well. High fever and dizzyness. With my brothers birthday today I had hoped I could visit him but instead I have to spend all day in bed. I just realized how bad TV is on sundays. I'm glad I have my DVD player.

This is tragic. I feel for you man.

But this reminds me that I haven't been sick for a long while. I'm usally sick every 3 months or so. Last time I was sick was at least 6 months ago. Strange, I wonder what happened. I hope that doesn't mean I'll get a really really bad one soon to make up for it.

Being sick is always annoying.
Relax, take the most fun of it, do something you wouldn't do if you were in perfect shape. For example, write a book.

This morning I got really afraid that i was getting sick..
My boyfriend, my sister, one of my best friends, and almost everybody at work have had some bug lately (vomit, bad stomach, cold), and this morning my stomach was killing me, and i felt nosious. But I had to go to work, and now I'm actually feeling better, thank god!!!


But Picard, I hope you get well soon, just take care of yourself and don't let yourself get worse. Read a good book!! ;)

Hah, I know exactly how it feels.
I recently got a small cut while shaving but I didn't see it. Anyway it infected and I got a fever and I was constantly sweating and shivering and my heart banged like it was about to explode.
It was like that for three days... and my DVD player was broken and I was getting my computer fixed. Needless to say I was slowly going insane.

I have very bad sinuses, so from time to time I got bad pressure in forehead, and once in while bad infection in ears. (like couple weeks ago)

Yeah it's usually just a cold, sometimes the flu. But I have a low immune defficiency level. So I catch cold off people easily and when I get them they are usually a bit worse for me than for most people.

Well, Picard, where's one of those Star Trek all-diagnosing phaser things when you need one? Try playing mind games, like telling yourself that the sicky feeling is just an illusion. Tell yourself that you're stronger than any illusion, and order it to get lost, because you have the power to be well and feeling great. I read about this mind game in a book once, and it works for me sometimes.

I'm feeling much better but I am still not 100%. The fever got upt to 39,3 C and now it is almost gone. I have my apite back. Not sure what it was. Could be flu but it does not sound like it. There are many people who have it around here and it is persistent. I'll still be on the mends for a few days most likely. Thanks for all the concern guys.

Actually I have just been sick myself. I celebrated cristmas in Norway, and on the way back to Denmark I had to take a ferry. The problem was, that the waves was so big, because of a storm, that the boat could't go to shore. Therfore we got a 22 hour delay, and i spend to much time in 10 meter high waves. I got pretty sick on that trip. :eeeeeh:

I'm on land now, and feeling much better. :king:
