Requests for custom titles: post 'em here!
 

Users with at least 100 posts OR three months of forum membership can now set a custom title up to 25 characters long in their User Control Panel.

If you want to have a longer title, or one that makes use of HTML tags (fonts, colors, links or images), you can request it here.
Obviously, please specify what do you want it to be!

For images, please don't ask for anything above 150x25 pixels and 2 kb size (for the moment).

By the way, the new setup allows admins to insert HTML code into custom user titles - using different fonts, colors, links and images all becomes an option.
Would you believe I miss them too?
Will see what can be done - I'll need copies of the old userbars, and I think I've got at least some in offline pages from the old forum I've saved onto my home PC.

EDIT: (victory dance) It WORKS!!! Expect the userbars to be returning by tomorrow.

Would it be possible that every member with at least 100 posts or three months of forum membership can set his custom title by itself? Then you would have less work with us title hungry people. Or would they change to rapidly?

Technicaly possible, but requires creating a new user group and some messing around with its permission masks. Since on the new forum, rank name and title are integrated together, and only admins can insert HTML tags - and therefore images - into them, it would also conflict with the userbars.

Don't take too much trouble! It's not that much important. ;)

You're right, but neither really have any use for them anyway.

I've found copies of all the old userbars and made updated versions of them - now we'll have one for every rank and with slightly different colors.

Bot could add links, but you're right about zero posters.
If there aren't security problems any decision will be good.:)

Nuh-uh. HTML tags can only be added by admins. :p

Grammar and Updater user groups are additional rather than primary user groups for the moment. I'll see if I could do something about them later.

BTW, check the new Junior/Member/Senior bars - they use the same colors but become progressively lighter for higher ranks.

These will apear automatically as long as you do not have a custom title set. If you want both userbar AND a custom title, you'll have to ask me to set it manually.

That's because most of the usergroups were reset during the move. I've added you to translators again.

Read the previous posts, Fifth allowed us to change our title ;), you have to go to your user control panel (From forum jump), and then enter Edit profile. :)

Now you can change it manually from your "user control panel", if you don't find the option search a little because it's quite hidden.

I'm quite sure that a "Abandoned Times Crew" bar will increase the number of helpers :D

Umm yeah, is it still possible to edit your own custom title? If so, then where exactly can I do that? I know I've done it before, but I just can't seem to find the option back (nothing on the edit page).

It's in the User Control Panel (which is very hard to access, you have to go to any given thread or sub-forum, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the Forum Jump box. :p

If someone with less than 100 posts asks for it, they might get one - but it doesn't have to be the one they wanted.
