has anybody played KQ6? I'm so stuck! :help:
|
Yep. Got stuck at the end, because I didn't get a genie or something like that earlier. No hints at all that I had to get one, and no savegames near the time I had to get it, so gave up on it.
|
I have. Lots of times. Which part're you stuck in?
|
Allen, Thank you for answering. my problem is the second puzzle on sacred mt. I lost my handbook so i don't knoe the alpha :bye:

Anyone played KQ5? I have trouble removing the "Out of Heap Space" message at the end in Mordack's castle. Have any suggestions?
|
When I go to sierraclassics.com it's now a site for an automobile dealership in Reno, Nevada!
Maybe Roger Wilco finally wised up, realized he was never going to make Admiral, and got a real job selling sports cars? |

King's Quest 6 is one of the best adventure games ever made. Probably the best one Sierra made, and right up there with the LucasArts greats.

I finally beat the long and the short way
:w00t: |
This game is tremendous fun, and has beautiful scenery.
As for the game manuals, perhaps you were thinking of www.sierragamers.com??? They have the manuals too, in the Museum section. |

Sierra Online maintained several offices during their heyday. I visited one--appropriately enough, up in the High Sierras, where they got their name from. It was part of a small town, in some of the most beautiful mountainous country you could find. The nearest city of size was down (and I mean, DOWN) in a valley, perhaps 30 miles away. In summer; in winter, I'm sure it was more like 200 miles. I think the demise of Sierra Online was directed related to their emphasis on what they did best: graphical adventures. The genre itself has largely faded, as players demanded less linearity and greater sophistication. Problem-solving was desirable, but only in the context of a larger environment with other gaming features. I think this was the Coles were aiming at with their later Quest for Glory titles, a kind of hybrid RPG/adventure game. Even so, it didn't prove intriguing enough to newcomers. Too bad. Incidentally, there is a team working--apparently, very slowly, and in their spare time--on doing a new QfG game. It doesn't include the Coles, but apparently is working with their blessing. |
