Somehow, I'm not particularly impressed...

Meh, that's the resumee of my computer exept that my graphic card is not good enough for the game... And that's only the minimum requirement, of which you need to apply the rule of "multiply by 2 to be sure the game run fine"...

Not interested... <_<

Abi79 28-02-2007 03:36 PM

I think that with details at minimum I could try it.

Cosmonaut_Roger 28-02-2007 06:14 PM

Well from what I've heard, people either love it or hate it. I guess it all depends on if you are looking for a whole new game, or just want an updated C&C with better graphics and new FMV. I personally would be perfectly happy with just an updated C&C game, we have enough RTS games already on the market.

As for the requirements, those are the norm or even relatively low compared to most games being released today. Only a 64meg card is pretty low for a new game. That doens't help me though, I'm on a laptop that has a 9200 which is unsupported. But I agree that anything that only meets the minimum requirements will run like total garbage. Anyway, I'm excited to at least try it out when I get access to a better computer.

Hopefully they did a better job on the game than they did on Generals. That is a pathetic RTS.

Bobbin Threadbare 05-03-2007 12:38 PM

I beat the specs and I intend to get the full release... After I get First Decade.

.:EDIT:.
Wait, does that mean all cards above 9200/9250 are unsupported?

Nope. All cards above 8500 are supported, with the exception of 9200 and 9250.

I'm going to buy the First Decade pack and then refuse to give EA any more money for their horrible efforts to make C&C games. Those Westwood raping sons of pigs.

Doubler 05-03-2007 03:37 PM

The demo's a pleasant surprise really. It feels like C&C and the story progression from the previous games, as far as I can tell from the demo, is very good :)
If the actual game is on that streak, then I guess we can finally just bury Generals and pretend it never existed ;)

And is it just me or has NOD gotten incredibly annoying units and buildings? A frustrate and conquer strategy? :P

I do worry about that third faction, though

gufu1992 06-03-2007 11:59 PM

Relatively good demo.... but EA crapped their pants.... too many things are not linked by any basic sence

chainsoar 07-03-2007 04:59 PM

Third faction? What is this outrage? Seriously, what third faction?

Doubler 07-03-2007 07:06 PM

The Scrin
Remember that certain black and purple thingey that was a major plot element in Tiberian Sun?

Blood-Pigggy 07-03-2007 10:10 PM

I liked the demo it was very nice, at least EA wasn't promising anything revolutionary like Supreme Commander, which was a major disappointment, who actually wants a graphically updated Total Annihilation rip off with a few gimmicky features tacked on.

muaddib 08-03-2007 04:53 AM

Bah, the quality of strategy games went down the first minute they started making it in 3D...
