I'm not in to radio much anymore, but I like Evanescence and the music of independent artists available from music sites like the defunct mp3.com and www.music.download.com Sometimes the indies produce more interesting songs than the commercial artists. For those who like Evanescence, a similar band with music freely available on the web is Gossamer and another independent group with an awesome sound and lead singer is Inconnumedia.

Rogue 18-11-2004 02:14 PM

wendymaree,
I should change the topic name to what are you listening, as most of us don't listen the radio any more, or are listening it not so often.

I like Evanescence, but at the moment Tool - 46 & 2 :guitar:

Funnily enough, I'm listening to Hammerfall right now, I've liked them since Chef Boyardee posted one of their songs, I'm looking for one of their CDs, I think there's a stall in Coventry's flea market which sells metal CDs, I'll check there at the weekend.

Today starting day with some classical music... :ok:

Camina Burana - Carl Orff :kosta:

Sebatianos 19-11-2004 04:42 PM

Classical music?
Excelent choice, but:
Carmina Burana was only written in 1937 - that's newer than let's say early works of Nat "King" Cole!

Just listening to the:
In Extremo - Der Rattenfänger

wormpaul 19-11-2004 04:48 PM

The Manic Street Preachers: A design for Life..

Such a great band :ok:

The_EgAt 20-11-2004 06:15 PM

Right now I'm listening to.... Kosmós, my band :D

A song called „Call Your Mother“

wormpaul 20-11-2004 06:19 PM

Listining to your own band??

mouse31e 20-11-2004 06:58 PM

Nothing wrong with that!

I listen to mine sometimes cos sometimes I just need to listen to acoustic rock/pop and my band is the only CD I have of acoustic rock/pop, so I listen to it. It also helps me to remember the songs. It is a bit sad if you only listen to your own band and never listen to anything else.

Anyway, it's a few days since I listened to it and I am currently listening to Alanis Morissette.

This may be controversial but I think the Manic Street Preachers should be taken out into a field and :rifle: :rifle: :rifle: :rifle: :rifle:

wormpaul 20-11-2004 07:14 PM

Whyy the hell that for???

mouse31e 20-11-2004 07:52 PM

Just don't like them. I find them boring and they are about the only band I actually have to turn off if they get played on the radio!

wormpaul 20-11-2004 07:57 PM

ALright...that sounds a lot different..

And here in the Netherlands you won't (almost) hear it on the radio :not_ok:
