So Japofran, you think that Sonic is better than Mario eh? Its time for poll.

These two guys were arc-rivals in the 90's, but now that Sega-consoles are dead, they had to join force's against the Playstation.

But which one is better, the Sonic "Faster than bullet" The Hedgehod or Super "World's Famous Plumber" Mario?

Anyway in terms of Mario and Sonic, they're pretty even. Sonic was better than Mario as a 2D platform, but current Mario games are better than current Sonic games.

I've gotta give my vote to Luigi. He reminds me of George Harrison, the slightly overlooked Beatle. I've always had a thing for the underdog :)

i like the orgenial Sonic then this new ~look at me im a bad azz~ the look on his face has turned to more of a evil smerk for lack of a better word and he just dosent look as Sonic as he did.

I agree. Those who prefer the new, sociopathic Sonic are even more heretic than those who prefer Mario. I've searched the net for an animated GIF of the classic Sonic waving his finger like he used to but I haven't found it. :(

PD I had a Sega Master System but I enjoyed Super Mario 2 at my uncle's, one of the best platformers ever.

Yeah but I got Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for GC a few days ago... pathetic. I also got Super Mario Sunshine which kicked arse.

I have always been a Sega fan, so Sonic has always beaten Mario in the fight for my heart. There is only one bad thing: There is no name (I don't know any, at least), behind Sonic, while behind Mario there is Shigeru Myiamoto. Does anyone know who exactly is the guilty for Sonic?

hard decision really but i think mario takes it since his games have remained a constant quality over generations whilst sonic's games have gone down in quality over generations (mind you, sonic is still good) and blood-piggy:

My friend is a total sonic addict... dunno why, myself i never realy got to love one more then the other.... I have played great games with both of them, and I would have to say TailZ if anything, cause i could cruice trough all maps watching my friend never letting me hit ground... :D
