I've been approached by a representative from a site that would be willing to organize free weekly Abandonia poker tournament for the forum members if there would be an interest for such a thing. Perhaps a good way to battle out disagreements between certain members ;) So I just wanted to find out if any of you guys are into casual poker and if I should take the time to organize it. Perhaps to complement the Competitions/Games forum... If there will be enough people interested, there might be a prize pot of around a €100 as well! Vote away! :)

I have absolutely no idea how to play poker, but if I did, I would play :P

Who knows, maybe I can learn :)

If there is money involved u have to consider much things..

but if we just wanna play Poker for the fun of it all we have to do is agree on a specific online Poker site and make a table urself in the cachless section.... Anyone can make a table and post the table Nr in the forum so everyone that is online can join....

If we had a shoutbox we could post a tablename there to so anyone can join instantly.....
But If u guys can fix a tournement for members spread all over the world Id be there for shure..

but a free game on the side is also something ppl can do!

When you say "free", do you mean hosted for free, but we have to gamble our actual money, or do you mean that we don't gamble actual money?

Kind of depends. What about timezones? It totally depends on that. I guess saturday/sunday is fine. Also the money thing is a problem since I don't use any credit card/such things.

Darn, talking about this makes me feel like playing blackjack. Hmm. I have to try to find a bar where it's possible.

Meh, blackjack goes a bit too fast for me.

I like blackjack, but it only gets interesting if you play long enough to get far enough through the deck so it's not just chance, and I get bored playing that long... I like poker more, because there's more skill involved right from the start of the game... But I'm no card connisseur - they're the only two card games I know and play :whistling:
