WTF man?! He'll get shoot for that. Anyway.. seems like he regretted it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GR0iMB4peEw He SERIOUSLY screwed up there.. Don't know wtf he's thinking about when he's on that stage. Especially in USA ppl take offence for less. I guess he can expect quite a few reports to the police about that, but i assume that Freedom of speach will count heavier... but still... WTF?! |
A momment of madness, sometimes itīs happens to some people, but he pass the limit... :tomato:
|
Someone showed me that yesterday. I don't even know who the guy is, but he's a moron.
|
Ya know if it was the other way around "black comedian" and a "white guy interrupting" I'm sure it wouldn't have seemed racist or got that much attention thats just my thoughts
|
Yep,
Heard about it on the Opie and Anthony show. (XM satellite radio fans anyone?) He was getting heckled really, really bad though. He tried to win back the room but it seems he took a wrong direction with his bit. Oh well, he will pay for it. Then he can go home and take a bath in all his Seinfeld money. He still always be my Stanley Spedouski though! |
So uhm it's OK that every second word on MTV is n1gga(damn censor) and bitch, or "I'm gunna shoot your white behind", but this causes such a havoc? I mean sure it's wrong to be racist but I'm positive if it were other way round it would be tolerated.

Sorry for this useless message, I just needed to try something. Thank you.
|
Yeah, forget the botched Nigerian hostage rescue mission, Michael Rischards is obviously more newsworthy.
|
That's pretty messed up... both his 'performance' and his 'apology'... Weird stuff... I haven't really got anything sensible to say about it though :|
|
When someone as well-known on TV as him makes such mistake, it's usually a death stamp on his career... He shouldn't have let himself go like that, but maybe he was just too tired.
|
You mean after "Seinfeld", he still had a career?

Sorry, but i just hate Racists. :tomato: |
Of course I don't think he should get in legal troubles, but man is it
embarrashing. Even to watch, I mean. |
i think it's embarrasing for those poeple who actually laughed at him at first.
anyway i doubt he was angry at the whole race. more like to those two guys who hackled him. anyway the words seem a really strange thing. ok so you are not supposed to say black people but african american. and how do you call a black man in europe then? african european? or does each country have it's own "african"? we used to have such nice word (IMO) which meant the guy who came overseas. but then they said the words is insulting. WTH? i meqan it was a very polite word 100 years ago. same goes for gipsies. the are Roma, right? so does that mean the gipsy kings are insulting someone? they should be Roma kings. anyway same for this word. it was a nromal word to describe certain enthnic group, but then people started using it when they should on soccer judges. so suddenly it's an insulting word. ?!?!?!?!? but the funny thing is most slavic people have actually very insulting word for germans - we call them "mute people" - "Nemci", "Njemci", "Niemci". And their country is "muteland" to us. but that the official word for them. no one finds that offensive, no one seems to be bothered by that fact... not even the germans. weird. point is words really don't matter that much. especially if people don't really mean them, but say them in some emotional outburst. Kramer just got pissed of. it just happens that the guys harrasing him were black people. moreover did you notice how no one seems to be bothered that they call him "white boy"? and that is also racist. because of the "white" word. |
Spanish speakers seem to be able to converse with them just fine. Hell, the Philippines even has a region called Negros and it's not even black.

In Spanish it's the same word for the black colour and for black people, there's no other words such as "n3gro" or "n1gger". In fact "n3gro" is the Spanish word for the black colour, although likely Americans took it from the Portuguese but it's the same. Well words accumulate a history of their use and you can't reverse that.

[/b][/quote] Nope the people in audience. first they laughed, after a while they laughed less, and finnally they started saying OMG, OMG. strange how the same thing was funny for them at first but then they perceived it as not funny at all. i completelly understand the guy. he had a bad day and it just happens to be two blackman spoiling it even more. |
Because at first it would have just seemed like a way to hurt them and shut them up. As he kept going it became more obvious he just completely lost it.
Personally I don't think the issue is his racist remarks, he would have used whatever he could to get at them no matter what race they were. The issue is his ability to handle the criticism, comedians get that, especially in small clubs and he should be able to handle it. Sure he may have had a bad day but as a comedian that is no excuse. |

Well yes it's the issue because the media can blow it up into an issue.
Everyone is so fixated on racism, they all say they want a world without racism, where everyone can get along yet they endlessly look for ways to accuse anyone for racism even when it is not implied at all, like the PSP billboard ads when they brought out white PSP's. If everyone would actually put some though into this situation that Michaels Richards was put in and how he reacted they would see he used what he knew would hit them the hardest. I don't consider him racist from this situation, I consider him a bad comedian for losing it. If everyone wants a world free of racism they have to stop blaming everyone one of it. |

I wouldn't boycott anyone for something like this even if I thought he was really racist, I don't stop watching movies from some actors who utter in my opinion rather stupid and outrageous statements. |
