That is a very debatable subject

Which proves my point, you can not debate with a braniless person!
EDIT: I wanted to write an I D I O T, but when I wrote it normally this word apeared instead: headless.
Darn censorship!
Anybody else noticed something like this?

You know that, I know that.
but the brainless person does not.

In most debatewebsites I frequent these people are referred to as 'trolls' (on other forums trolls are just people who spam and cause general unrest)
Trolls, on debate sites, are people who don't really know what they're talking about.
They have a very rudimentary platform of knowledge and thus they come up with all sorts of oddball conclusions.

Anybody engaging in a debate with a troll will find himself overpowered by the troll's sheer stupidity and determination to push his flawed arguments off as facts.
Eventually the serious debator backs down, leaving the troll to bask in his 'victory'

So in fact it is possible to debate with an idi0t, and the idi0t will usually win.... he's just to dumb to back off and realize what a fool he's making of himself.

Eagle of Fire 13-11-2004 09:22 PM

Well put Stroggy.

Sebatianos 13-11-2004 09:25 PM

Bravo Stroggy, bravo! Nothing more to add really, exept we don't really have that much trolls here, because they would not apreaciate great classics (they usually go and get new games anyway).

Havell 13-11-2004 10:39 PM

I couldn't agree more Stroggy...

Tom Henrik 14-11-2004 03:24 PM

How come a simple "Hello, I'm new to this forum" turned into a debate?

Anyways, to try to get back on topic.

Welcome. I hope you will enjoy the forum. :w00t:

Unknown Hero 14-11-2004 10:33 PM

@Stroggy

Tom just wanted to say that your idea is welcome!

Squalidangel 15-11-2004 07:49 AM

After the horrible graphics problem I was having and posting about I forgot to read my welcome posts. Thank you everyone for welcoming me. Even though it turned into a debate. :ok:
