No Google Chrome

Mates,

i want to delete Google Chrome from my PC.

Is such action fatal for my Net work:

- visit of AB

- visit of BG news sites and other sites?

Thank You for Yr help and time.

Japo 17-06-2016 11:31 PM

Haha the question is do you have any browser left on your pc after you go through with such wilful act. As long as you do you will have no problem to visit AB again.

I've tried them all myself, IE Firefox Opera Chrome... now Firefox again

Smiling Spectre 18-06-2016 12:00 AM

If you are in Windows, you'll always have Internet Explorer in your system, Yoga.

There is only one other option, as far as I know - Firefox.

All others are Chromiums now (i.e. Chrome engine without all Chrome features). Not recommended. :)

Spacibo, SS.

But am i wrong to remember You

" Yoga, I never used till now Firefox"'

with meaning

i dunno what is Firefox (this is my feeling).

Smiling Spectre 19-06-2016 10:22 PM

Totally right - I still doesn't use FF, except some obvious exclusions (seems, it's only browser that still works on my WinXP right in some cases). But is it hinders me to note that there is no others? No. :)

yoga 20-06-2016 05:15 AM

So the eternal question is:

To be or not to be?

In my case - delete/not delete Chrome?

Well, well.

If i am sure that in case of wrong decision My Restore Point option will solve

problem i imm. will delete Chrome, creating in advance New R. point.

We are speaking about W 7 Pro 32-bit version now.

Smiling Spectre 20-06-2016 06:46 PM

It's free and can be downloaded right from the site, Yoga, in case of emergency. ;)

What's wrong with Chrome, BTW?

yoga 21-06-2016 06:53 AM

Reason is total spying. The world became one nasty Big Bro

My feeling is that Chrome and FB(I) are fuc-ed spies.

Google aslo.

So i deleted my 5 (five) gmail accounts immediately.

Gmail cried:

-It is not bla-bla, it is serious.-

yoga:

- Get out, blyad.

I removed my PC camera.

No W 10 because of same reason.

No one social, nazi networks membership.

Japo 21-06-2016 08:05 PM

Haha. It's true that the business model of Google and Facebook is spyware. Most literate people realize this by now; little point in these companies trying to hide the fact any longer. Nothing wrong with it if you don't mind selling out your private data in exchange for a "free" service, which most illiterate people do every day specially via mobile apps and email.

Anyway. If you need Chrome again it would be easier, and have less impact on your system, to re-download and install it again, rather than attempting a Windows system restore. Moreover this latter option would not be enough to bring Chrome back again into functionality.

I am as You all know fanatic gamer which only but

unattainable goal is to reach my good friend Capo completed games.

But now result is

More details:
Win 7 Pro 32-bits
Coeff. 5.9 from 7
HDD 160 GB
Memory 4 GB

I checked all my drivers and hope they are OK. Using MaxDriver program.
First I checked memory modules. Excellent.
Then I checked HDD. with free Santinel program.
I received only one warning which i attach now.
What are these cabels?
Can You show me to buy and solve the problem.

Looks bad for me. And IDE standard is mostly dead now anyway.

Do you have possibility to change your HDD for SATA one? Or it would mean to replace whole system?

Anyway, it seems that you definitely need new IDE cable. Like this one, for example. (They are still must be around you aplenty, check your local stores and repair firms. :)

It always brings another problem:

Yes.
From 65 days or more my computer refuses to accept
the upgrade of Adobe Flash Player.
I see the prompt to install last update.
I start and download the upgrade.
I start the installation and....nothing.
No Error message, nothing.
The window of installation simply disappeares from the screen.
I am unable to find any solution of my problem.

I am at vacations, Yoga, that always means _less_ free time. ;)

Also, I am always in my chats. It's about you that you don't like them. :P

Speaking about your problem - what your Task Manager says? Is FlashPlayer installer listed here at all? If it is, it means that installation process itself came wrong. If it isn't - maybe your antivirus or something went wrong?

You always can wait for the _next_ installer, right? :)

Well, theoretically speaking, installer must replace flash modules in the all browsers, so it recommended to close all browsers before start the installing... but it usually never prevents installing for me. Only sometimes it asks for restart browsers. :)

Dear (H)yoga... Poor thing...

You could find Adobe Flash Player download link which will give you the full EXE/MSI file, not the tiny downloader which downloads data from the internet.

It seems that the link above does no longer give access to Offline Installers. :headslap:

Firefox is very flexible however you usually so far have to install Flash by yourself and it is a pain to do that.

Chrome is full featured even able to play YOUTUBE right out of the box.

Netscape is cool GUI however does not work anymore *I think.

Opera sounds cool however it could never work for me.

I have Windows 8 64bit right now and use IE built in. I only surf this site for the most part and it is fine. No error *usually*. However I also use Norton from xfinity/Comcast.

I will talk about how the Startup Manager can help reduce the consumption of RAM during Windows (re)boot.

“Many programs ‘consider’ themselves the most important programs in a system: they place themselves in startup and in a System Tray of a system.

This leads to unreasonable using of system resources, of random access memory; and finally, to reducing processor power.

As a rule, such programs write information about themselves not in the Start section of the ‘Startup’ menu, but in the Windows registry without leaving the option to the user and complicating the process of checking the autothread process.”

I am using MZ RAM Booster (defunct. but can find it on Internet). I think it has one of the nicest GUI :OK: :2thumbs: because many of them have poor or ugly GUI. :suspicious:

Well, if you are rich or full of Memory, then I guess you have a Photographic Memory... ;) :mhh:

PS: Apple Safari? I hate it more than Windows IE. :apple: :tomato: :lame: They are both the worst browsers all time! :palm: :picard: :headslap: :hairpull:

You can also use WinTools.net RAM Saver Pro. It has really a nice GUI and so many functions and options... :hypno:

Hi Tseki.

In the past, I would have agreed with you, but now I am tired of Firefox and I never thought I would claim that Firefox sucks. It was once a great browser, but now it is just a coadjutant. FF is following the steps of Internet Explorer in terms of (un)popularity.

I really appreciate the FF and SeaMonkey Add-ons as it is the browsers that give me the Add-ons that I most use and appreciate. The big problem is the eternal “Unresponsive Script Error Message” in FF and SeaMonkey browsers. And not to mention the eternal slowness in loading site pages and switching between tabs. No offense, dear Frodo, but FF now reminds me a lot of your beloved IE and Apple Safari. Luckily, SeaMonkey is still better than its “cousin” FF.

FF also sucks on the Android system as it freezes and crashes frequently, losing all tabs and history. Oh, and the other known and unknown browsers are also not better despite the good rating assigned by users (Mercury, etc.). They do not allow to open many tabs, also crash frequently, etc.

Interestingly, the best browsers on Android are Chrome, Yandex and Opera (and Mini). I really enjoyed Opera (and Mini) and Yandex. You can open many pages of websites, tabs and they rarely crash. Unless you open up too much tabs.

Unfortunately, I will need to use Chrome and Opera more often, despite more limited and simple settings. In addition, Chrome and Opera lack the options and features that only Firefox and SeaMonkey can provide. Not to mention that Chrome and Opera use too much memory of your PC (certainly more than the damn Firefox and SeaMonkey!).

Obviously, someone may disagree with my claims. My claims relate to my needs that only Firefox and SeaMonkey provide me should I need these features and options.

Excuse me! I sense I'm becoming a third wheel again here.

Where is Captain Bible’s post? That is what happened to me. I posted again and my previous post (with the same content) came up mysteriously. :marioghost: So, I got the double posts.

How mysterious! I think I will call the Ghostbusters to deal with Supernatural! In fact, Slime  is very intelligent and reliable, do you agree? ;) :rocks:

Myst(erious) Van.....

Well you don't know that God works in mysterious ways. You see if you were on IE like me you would get errors too but IE is more predictable. Chrome is fully loaded able to play YouTube right out of the box. FF is a hassle because you have to install ad-on to play YouTube. Opera is few features however I agree is nice. It is all up to each person however I am lazy so I just use what Windows come in and that's IE.
