Blood-Pigggy 07-11-2005 09:55 PM

Jesus boy.
Get some good music.

Here you go, go get some Chuck Berry.
Then listen to these songs.

Brown-eyed Man
Maybellene
Sweet Sixteen
Johnny B. Goode
My Ding-A-Ling
Roll Over Beethoven
No Particular Place To Go
School Day

And every other track you can find, clean your mind.
Then get some Elvis, Queen, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, The Who, The Doors, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and all the other good oldies you can think of.

REPENT!

P.S. - Like a Virgin is awesome, won a great spot in the top 100 songs you know.

Well, I hope you know it's "Madonna" and not "Madona", like you also named her in this thread's title... Then it would make you (a little bit) sad.... LOL Not that I really care about the woman's music, sorry :tomato:

Depends purely on your taste, but here are some:
Frozen
Ray of Light
Power of Goodbye
American Life
Like a Prayer
Papa don't Preach
Don't Cry for me Argentina
Human Nature

I'd say those are her best works.

wendymaree 22-11-2005 07:28 AM

I totally agree with that list, Sebatianos. But I'd like to add Beautiful Stranger to it.

Bobbin Threadbare 26-11-2005 06:58 AM

Heh, if you're really in the mood for hating Madonna listen to that Britney Spears/Madonna song.

I honestly don't listen to Madonna a lot. Listen to the latest one. Don't know if that's any good.

....ewww?

punch999 27-11-2005 01:13 PM

Don't cry for me argentina was a great song and fit perfectly with the movie Evita!
:) damn good movie too

Sebatianos 27-11-2005 02:10 PM

Well, it had to fit the movie Evita... The song was writen for the musical Evita (and the movie is based on the musical). Madona did surprise me with her perfomance - she actually could sing.

She has some interesting songs, some catchy and some provocative (but most of her music is just simply like her latest hit... ).

punch999 27-11-2005 02:23 PM

Man I think I will go rent evita again!

BeefontheBone 27-11-2005 04:20 PM

Evita? Blech! I love the album Ray of Light - Swim, Ray of Light, Frozen etc etc are great. I don't dislike the new single either, though I've managed to hear it about 6 times today and yesterday (gay bars last night and an unimaginative pub today...) which is getting annoying. Her other stuff tends to leave me cold.

Sean 27-11-2005 04:26 PM

Gay Bars?

I didn't know you was gay Beef, are you?

BeefontheBone 27-11-2005 05:32 PM

:ot: No but my housemate is, and it was his birthday yesterday.

punch999 27-11-2005 07:21 PM

Hey I guess you can call that a Interesting and adventurous experience.

And evita was great!

Sebatianos 27-11-2005 08:47 PM

If you liked Evita so much (and I see you're into Rocky Horror Picture Show), you're obviously a fan of the musicals. So have you see the new Phantom of the Opera? (I know it's :ot: , but I don't feel like opening a new one, just for this one question).

It was a bit like being in any other bar, except with more gay men around (strange, that...)

EDIT: Not Evita, obviously...

Iron_Scarecrow 28-11-2005 08:00 AM

The tune of the chorus for the new single is alright. That's all I have to say on the matter.
