Don´t work on Vista also not with Dosbox. :wall: And my Avira Antivir tells me that there is a virus inside poker.exe. It sais that it found the program "JOKE/DelWindows"

Naw. I think they're in the add-on disk. Maybe we could upload that as an extra.

there's no virus, you must disable your avira and run poker.exe. it's how the new companies tryi to protect kids from viewing adult material...

also, avira is a really dumb program, it notifies false positives in most of the cases

It's not a virus, it's just a really stupid joke.
Of course, if you're one of those computer illiterate people who always believe what's written on TEH INTERNETZ, you might have a little heart attack when you open it.

OOOOOk. I Scanned it with avg (free), and acording to it it's clean. BUT what's with the "joke" about deleting windows? Will some one PLEASE walk me through (consider me a "computer illeterate dumb***" , but please no jokes) on getting this game to work? I have XP, and btw, there's a folder inside the game calle "vol" and an aplication called "poker".exe when I run i get that message as if eh windows folder is being deleted? Is that just like... some sort of joke, and I have to wait for it to do it's thing, and then the game will start?
The Poker.exe file found directly in "strip3" (the folder in the archive) doesn't work, and I don't know why. I don't know what could be stopping it. Doxbox won't work (with it) either.
I'm confued...

Did you notice a file called "Install"? Run it using DOSBox. :p

First, I only read the first, big line and thought: Yeah, that's why I'm here for - to help myself. Then, I read the second line and thought: How do I help to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger by playing porn games? Then, I thought: I don't really care how, but it's good to quiet my conscience as a side effect of satisfying my sex drive. Anyhow, Google AdSense is frighteningly good.


Also, what's up with the INSTALL.COM (see attachment)?

First time poster here :) I've been lurking a few months. But yeah, I would have fallen for this if Avira didn't pick it up (I love Avira btw, I just didn't take off the "joke viruses" option). I think it would have been funnier if it were a kid's game instead :P

Trust me, it's nothing to worry about. :P

No idea what causes the garbled text. Just enter install C: to make the game install to a dir on your C drive (or whatever you mounted as t in DOSBox).

Unpack the attached file into the game directory and confirm overwrite to get rid of the bloody stupid password check.

Run the game using strip.bat.

When prompted for password just press ENTER.

It didn't work, I put it in root and tried to erase my windows directory!!!!!

PS... oh... i get it.... shit... that was scarry... but today is the second!

Yup, but the game was uploaded on the 1st, so it still counts.

Ha...ha...ha... awesome! It offers me to remove the non-existent windoze folder when I run the Poker.exe under Linux :thumbs:

could somebody please clarify one thing for me; was the whole download set up for the joke, or is there still a way to actually play cards and see boobies?

The game has been unpublished just like with the previous 1st April jokes, so it won't count as an official game on Abandonia, in overall stats and others. Of course you can still access it, if you know the link, or click the ones on the front page right now or in this thread's first post.

the game is great and everybody has tried it at least once when he/she was little. i don't see why the game should not appear on the game list, cause it IS a classic. btw nextinline, are you ....deranged or what is your problem? it's not the first time you act like this!

Bugger, too late to get caught in the joke... but i remember this game... i also remember one, mouse based, where you had to "stimulate" a picture of a lady with the cursor, if u took it slow and sweet (but not too slow :max:) the clothes would come off... anyone else remember something like that?

haha, the windows process of poker.exe says "Simulates deleting all files from ANY directory" :D

edit: hm it wont let me install it, tried with cmd.exe and dosbox. dosbox is unable to create the files, and in cmd.exe the installer doesnt like my windoze 7 64bit :-/

well, when you download and unzip the game Poker.exe should just work fine

but maybe your anti virus filtered it, because some of stupid antiviruses classify it as "Joke/delwindows" "virus", even thought it's not a virus

What part of this being an old Apirl Fools joke did you not get......did you bother reading the thread? If you had you would have seen it's a joke and that it gets called a virus by some Anti-virus programs.
