You didn't change D:\\SHARE\\SOTHR to c:\\rats\\.
Best I upload the REG file with the values you have given. Just download the attachment, rename it from a TXT to a REG file, and execute it. Your Windows is under C:\Windows, isn't it? |
Hi sorry said i was useless.
I have downloaded your attachment. the file attached was called something different so i deleted everything in my current file and copied everything from the attached into it. my file is called WHSHR.REG. My windows is c:\windows. Still same problem though when i the mission loads i just have a black screen rather than a battlefield. Just in case theres anything wrong the REG file says Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB] "Options"="1,1,1,1,1,2,1,1" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB\ InstallDir] @="c:\\rats\\" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB\ InstallOption] @="Maximum" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB\ Language] @="ENG" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB\ LocalDir] @="c:\\rats\\" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB\ RemoteDir] @="c:\\rats\\" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB\ SaveDir] @="c:\\rats\\SAVE" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mindscape\WarHammerFB\ UpdateDir] @="" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\SharedDLLs] "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\WING.DLL"=hex:01,00,00 ,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\WING32.DLL"=hex:01,00,00,0 0 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\WINGDE.DLL"=hex:01,00,00,0 0 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\WINGDIB.DRV"=hex:01,00,00, 00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\WINGPAL.WND"=hex:01,00,00, 00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RLDDF.DLL"=hex:01,00,0 0,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RLDDI.DLL"=hex:01,00,0 0,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFTF.DLL"=hex:01,00,0 0,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFTI.DLL"=hex:01,00,0 0,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLFRG16M.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLFRG256.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLFRG64K.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLFRM16M.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLFRM256.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLFRM64K.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLIRG16M.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLIRG256.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLIRG64K.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLIRM16M.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLIRM256.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 "C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\RL\\SOFT\\RLIRM64K.DLL"=he x:01,00,00,00 |
The filename doesn't matter except for the REG extension, you have to execute the file in order that the entries get registered in your Windows registry. Double-click it or select it and press Enter or Return.

hi yea i did do that. i did it again just to be sure but still same problem. im afraid

Since the solution with the registry isn't from me, I can't say much. Did you follow the installation instructions meticulously? (You did use our game archive, didn't you?):

im sure i did.
decided to start from scratch and do everything it says, so i deleted everything and started again but still same problem. Am using windows 7 to run the game. As i said theres no error messages theres just no battlefield. I havent played the game for 10 years but im sure at the start theres some sort of clip showing a rat doing something anyhow point is theres no footage it just skips to the title menu. I have been trying for over 10 years to play this game again and never got this far! so annoyed im so close but cant play it. I tried playing the game without being about to see the battlefield and it seems to be working fine played first 2 missions. cant think of anything else that might be the reason why its not working Quote:
