i have a problem with it though..i am at the capturing the pixie part..

right after i capture the pixie and robin follows him to the top of the screen.. it freezes.. robin still moves his head around but it wont change screens to go to the tree mans part. it just locks up with the hand wait icon and doesnt change..

what could i do to get past this part?

I could send you a saved game file past the point where it freezes. There may be a patch for what you are experiencing as some people get odd bugs and others dont... but if you are still having this problem, either myself, or someone already with a save game at that point could send it to you? :bye:

I am having a problem, being able to use the hand code. I have the hand code documentation...but how do I use the code on say the end of the game.
Very Frustrating I got to the end part and now I am stuck

Wiz

to use the code just grab yourself and then (in this case by the tower) touch your hand to spell out the druid name for the ivy. I think it's gort or something like that, but i haven't played this game in little while.

good luck dodging the rocks

Ja, ja... Kudos for putting this game up.

One friggin' problem that's starting to annoy me immensely; Every time I save the game on Day 13 (and it might be due to my save slots being full?) and I try to Load those save games after starting the game, or in the game, I get an error message saying "0.SND NOT FOUND" and the game freezes... :ranting: It's balls because it means once I get to day 13, I have to finish the game in one go (which isn't too hard) but it's just a hassle... and just not very nice, Mr. Sierra.

So, yea, anyone heard of this? :help:

Cheers,
The Tangible Orange :sneaky:

to anyone with problems with the game freezing up (during pixie/rescuing marian sections etc):

google for dosbox (it emulates a slow pc), download and install it, then play cotl using it. my game runs fine with it, and i can also listen to the sounds as they were meant to sound, when i configure dosbox to emulate soundblaster.

seriously. it's a tiny program, and fixes all your problems. no need to use other peoples' saves, etc.

That program is also on this site ;)

Right here.

^___^ I still have the old floppies too! I never would have stopped playing had I not lost my documentation to the ages

Tom, you deserve to be named legendary and have a statue made of you and placed in the roman colliseum or something like that. Cheers mate
