Totally agree with you there Chuck..that and Wolfenstein 3d for the SNES I guess using the PC just had me spoiled :)

I do not enjoy Adventure games at all. I find them quite tedious. Now there are some that are cool, like Space Quest, but that is a rare occurance.

I really hate 3D RTS games like Warcraft 3 or C&C Generals, it's very stupid how to units look, and the whole 90 unit thing is annoying...
There are a few good examples like Rome: Total War and Codename: Panzers the last one has IMNHO the best graphics any RTS ever had...

yeah I agree with ya there, plus building all the troops really fast and not time to plan a strategy..usually its just who can click faster and really no place for deliberate strategy..I like turned based better for that reason :)

halo 1 was great though. i played it through on copoperative the first time i ever played it. was a blast. i hate runescape and sometimes think its the worst game ever but its fun to log on ocasionly and go on a pk hunt.

Rome Total War sux!

It sux both as an RTS and turned based game! There is really little strategy to the imperial campaign, and the AI is dumb as a horse and easy even on the high difficulty levels, it seems the only way the AI wins is because it is given huge armies, and this is only a challenge at start. Heck, the only thing that slowed me down later was because it becomes impossible to maintain morale in the cities. The game became a boring loop of "City rebels and kicks me out, I slaughter the city, and become rich by looting it, wait for next rebellion to give me money."

As for the RTS part. It is fun to watch a couple of huge armies slaughtering each other for a couple of times, but it really gets boring in the long run. Especially when the AI is as dumb as a horse, the AI only uses crap armies, and it is so easy to flank them, or just run around their back with cavalry. It sux when most battle reports read. Enemy casulties: 1357 Your Casulties: 7

KOTOR, horribly overrated.
