Vă mulțumesc Dl.Tomekk Muchas gracias, Sr. Japo I warmly welcome Your prompt and positive help. To be fair i feel strange to play game which more than year was my dream. And all here is so different from known atmosphere of Wiz 6 and 7 that i stopped to take deep breath before my start. You know this feeling. Of course every beginning is not easy. New images, new style, all is very new for humble brave. Maybe our good friend Caro Capo is correct telling me - yoga this is RPG- but..but i politely will note that such game i play for first time. Anyway i have 76 passed games in my listing. Maybe..maybe it is like Doom 3. From nice images of green glades with butterflies i fall among dark enviroment without my laser sword and Livesteal spell. No complain at all, just i try to express my feelings... All game in darkness? No sunny days? Mama mia... But well respected Dosraider told this game is pearl and i believe his opinion. And dear Kmonster advises me to stop for a while W 7 and change my gaming. He is wise man, this son of Germany. My respect! OK. Hope time is on my side. PS: I am lazy hooligan, Caro Capo and You know this fact. My Q for maps is routine. If SS2 has maps no problem. I beat Daggerfall with its terrible maps. I beat Betrayal at Krondor and Menzoberanzan and Words of Xeen. And i soon will reach Your number of passed games, believe me. brave never give up.... |

Anyway, don't try to base your opinions of this game on those of other people. See if you like it yourself. I know many people praise but for example, I didn't find it fantastic. Yes it was fun and interesting enough to explore the story to the end, but it's nowhere as good as the first System Shock, imo. And many elements in the vanilla game are a bit underdeveloped, unless you use some mod (of which there are some around, too). So, in other words, play it and see if you like it. If you don't, that perfectly ok. You don't have to finish it if you don't like it, just because other people find it great. |
It is an action-RPG, in the same vein as Deus Ex... not like most modern shooters, which just add fancy numbers and weapon upgrades into the mix. Skills determine what you can or cannot do, and being a better shot than most won't make your guns break any less faster.
Also, yoga, stop taking the piss and play it. :p |
Master, i started the game.
I strictly followed Yr instructions and start was piece of... Pls do not expect fast progress. My humble opinion is this is dark game. In physical meaning. I respect other's opinions but i built mine soon after beginning. I think SS2 is not RPG at all. I have H4 Laser pistol.:D |

This argument whether a game is a RPG or not happened before, and believe me it gets nowhere.
C'mon Yoga status report! :D Do you know at least the story of System Shock (1)? You'll enjoy SS2 better if you do. |

No, i do not know the story of SS. Should i? Details: I reached the station Cryo Recovery B. Then i directed to North, opening the door. Wow, first attack launched - brave was attacked by 2 homo-like opps. I had a solid wrench and killed both opps but was hardly wounded. May i very politely ask You, good mates, 2 Q-s only: 1. May i play the game not in Full Screen mode? 2. How to restore my HP? Excuse me, i am very, very novice. TY, Grazie, ¡gracias, Spacibo und Danke Sehr! |
HP? I wonder what those mysterious medical syringes and med-kits are for... also, those tables which can be used also look potentially useful... :mhh:

Seriously, I would recommend the first game very much. It would also help you with the interface and item useage in SS2 if you have played the first one, since they're both have a relatively similar interface and items. And of course, the story continues from first to the second. It's not mandatory, though, just suprising since you're the first gamer I met who played Ultima Underworld 1+2 but doesn't know SS1. |
