If I'm perfectly honest, it plays somewhat differently to Doom. I must say that I would definitely recommend investing in this game as it will keep you entertaining for many an hour.

It's a build engine game so more like "Duke Nukem wannabe", but it's arguably better than Duke.

This game was what inspired doom. I have played this game Almost every day since it's came out. Doom was made in sequance to this game.

Doom was released in 1993. Blood was released in 1997.
Unless ID Software has a working time machine in their basement, there's no way for Doom to have been inspired by this game.

Since its the Hallowed eve of all things horror, I hope a lot of you out there are trying out the Blood shareware or playing the full version.

The reason why I brought up the shareware version was because I just purchased the GOG version. Its my first GOG purchase and it goes against my philosophy of "If there's a physical copy, prefer buying the physical copy". Now, I just didnt care. I wanted to play Blood, I wanted to play it legally and I had the money. I wanted to play it because its that damn good and its a really great as a horror title too, so very fitting for Halloween.
