Oh, bravo. You sign on to an abandonware site to get somebody to break the law for you, you show no evidence to back up any of your claims, and then you get angry at us because we rightfully told you where to shove it. That's good thinking there, slim.

I really hope you enjoy Full Throttle, because you have just reported in your last post that while having full knowledge of a game's legal status, you paid money to somebody to get an illegal copy of it anyway.

It's not illegal, it's called fair use. I already paid for copyrighted work and the associated license, it's the physical media onto which that work was written that was destroyed, that does not destroy the original license of my rights to use the copyright. It's called fair use, so, before you post in with your two cents, maybe you should have at least a somewhat informed or at least half-way sensical opinion.

Fair use also allows you to a backup copy of the original media, which I should have made in this case.

As for the proof part, I would be glad to e-mail someone a picture of my original Full Throttle CD, broken and all.

As I say again, Sheesh!!

You're right. I knew nothing about the laws of a country not mine, but now I do. After reading through the whole article. I still don't see just how you can justify taking 100% of a product that is still being legitimately sold online. (for half what you paid for your zip files, i might add) and making it yours. Also, it's funny that the article never even seemed to mention owning a previous copy of said work making it okay. In fact, it seems that free use law pertain to taking an old work and using a certain percentage of it in a new work. Interesting.

And that's it, I push any harder i'm liable to get warned or something, which I don't want right now, so I request that this thing be closed because the original topic has already been resolved.
