To change properties of a file in Windows, select it (left-click/shift-left-drag/ctrl-left - whichever you prefer), and right-click on it. Select "properties" from the menu. Pretty straightforward.

As for not being able to run the game, plese tell me what exactly you have done so far.
I understand you are using DosBox and have mounted the directory. That's a good start - believe it or not, but most new people have problems getting past that stage.
Now, are the values in the sound config corresponding to the ones in Dosbox.conf? You might want to double-check.
If that's allright, run the following three commands:
dir *.exe
dir *.bat
dir *.com
EXE, BAT and COM are three types of files most commonly used to start games. These three commands will provide you with a list of files with these extensions in your game directory.
Try the BAT files first, EXE and COM second.

Thanks, but... I'm a bit too alive to be one yet. ;)

Downloaded & working on dos-box. Thanks for all the help.

Anyone know if the download on Abandonia includes the 3 patches ?

Hi,

Ive read through everything but still cant get the game to work.

Ive mounted the file into dosbox, unchecked "read only" on ALL files in the TFX folder.
When I run C:\config I get the screen where it lets you set up control method, flight model etc etc. Then when I save, it says:

"Sorry couldnt create TFX.cfg"

Now, to me that sounds like a required file is read-only but NONE of them are. Ive gone through it a half dozen times.

Am I being a retard? Is there anything else I should try?

I used to LOVE this game so I'm dying to play it again
Any help is greatly appreciated

I always wondered how you can run TFX without the CD.
My tertiary pc runs it smoothly with cd... (486-DX2 100MHz, 40MB RAM, 24x CD, 3,5GB HDD) :D

Back to CD-support. Isn't it necessary for films and music?
