:ot: I prefer The Clue! as opposed to this one.

http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?gameid=206 :ok:

I agree.

The clue is much better than the sting, I prefer the 2D-action :)
I believe there's even an open source project remaking the clue in windows... :max:

I`m now at the second robbery of the game (the old lady) and it`s really easy...only it takes so many times

You haven't tried the cinema yet then. Might seem easy enough when planning, but then running it... some cop walks along the street, you don't notice it, but your character does fall in the far outside corner of the cop's view. Tadaa! Half an hour of planning down the drain, as you can't go back, edit that part a bit and leave the rest in.

Btw... ever tried taking your axe out on the old lady?

Tried that. Matt (or whoever you are useing) cause he (or she) will say "thats not my style" which really ticked me off cause it would make it much easier.

He's right: The Sting.

Except if you follow the shop links you'll get to either Play.com (which no longer has any mention of it at all on their web site) or Amazon (which only has second-hand copies from other sellers listed).

I consider strategy my favorite genre of gaming, but I just can't seem to get into this game. I guess its because of the limited gameplay, but I don't know. Maybe its an aquired taste? Or maybe I need to play it more?*
I wouldn't class it as strategy myself. With unlimited retries (no penalty) and no AI opposition (the guards in levels are completely consistent in movement) I think it's more of a puzzle game.

wormpaul 21-01-2005 07:59 AM

Indeed..

It`s a true puzzle game...and a very funny one :ok:

still supported by jowood.. so this is really pushing the boundaries of abandonware..

i know jowood like their compilations

wendymaree 21-01-2005 09:06 AM

Blow! It appears you might be right. However, Hotu have the game listed as abandonware on their site, and they rarely make a mistake. Kosta is investigating this as I type and he will take the appropriate action.
