WTF BLIZZARD?!?!?! BOOOOOM!

To be fair, this is more in line with raising game profitability vs shafting the little guy - obvious but true. Sure, it sucks - but the future will probably involve more networked authentication vs less. Computer gaming sucks now because piracy is rampant and has wrecked most of the gaming companies we appreciated in the past.

Companies build games for consoles because they make $$$ there, otherwise we'd see more for PCs. Unless game companies can ensure sales, computer games will continue to decline.

Watch SC2 take off, then PC games might actually revive. Case in point, WoW was profitable because it WORKED. People stumped the cash (me included), can you say the same for 90% of the stuff in the archives?

The PC gaming industry been destroying itself slowly but surely in the last decade.

This would simply be the logical followup.

And that's why we should keep playing Starcraft 1 instead.

I like reading complaints about games which are in developement - noone have played yet ... but there are so many things that are already known to be wrong - similar talk was about Fallout 3.

I think that we should wait and see what is real and what is a rumor or just a smalltalk to keep the interest in the upcoming game :)

When you consider that most of what was discussed about Fallout 3 was true... It's not really boding well.

It is not because Fallout 3 was a huge selling success that it was a good game. Far from it. A game quality can't be judged by the sales.

Take Wrath of Earth, for example. Epicly awesome game, sold maybe 10 copies? (mine being one of them)

starcraft is famous enough to get enough sales without any "no lan" option.. i think it will only make it worse actually

I'm not looking at the sales. I've played it, I've finished it and I enjoyed it. I've been reading a lot before the release abou how much crap this game will be, but I tried and I do not think it as bad.

What I tried to tell is that these kind of talking often creates the later sales. People involved in these massive talks often buy the game to check if it's that bad as they say.

Fallout 3 is a good game. Don't diss it.

Back on topic, yeah, SC2 and SC are famous enough, so SC2 should sell quite well even without LAN.

But how can I play it with my friends? Without LAN, you lose the fun of being next to your friends while playing.
