I will never understand the point of fighting to protect your ownership of a game that you have no intention of ever releasing again.

Anyway--

If I ever win the Powerball or something, I'm going to buy a little island in the Pacific, declare it a sovereign nation, and furthermore that the new People's Republic of Thanostopia does not recognize copyright or trademark laws.

I will then open server space for anyone who wishes to be hosted. ;)

Seriously, you will never win enough money to buy an island and to lay out the internet cable all the way down from somewhere on the mainland. And satellite internet is not stable enough to support a server. Besides, the entire idea itself doesn't look very trustworthy.

I think what Thanos6 really said, in a rather elaborate way, was that he will never win Powerball or anything :P

Seriously though: Money talk, bullshit walk, that's just the way it is. Even if they don't make money out of these old games, it's a matter of principle I think. Never give ANYTHING away for free. It just isn't sound business.
