My game crashes when I talk to the prisoner in the 1st dungeon (winecellar)... Is there any fix for this?
Any help on this? I can't play the game onward (I think) without the ring I get from the prisoner...

Can someone send me their Profile settings for running AoD under D-Fend/DosBox? I'm having endless trouble getting it running at all- it often won't let me even select a character. The mouse moves OK, but it completely ignores the left-click.

Also, someone here said they'd gotten it running under XP. I'd love to know how, since the Dos4gw extender is usually fatally incompatible w/Win32 protected mode...

Thanks!

how can i rest in the game to renew my spells and mana?i found a few beds, but i cant use them

I'm not fully sure how I got around it. Basically it seems like you should head on down and walk around the room at different angles to see which one works. As simple as that sounds I believe that's what I did to get past it.

How do I push a block of stone so that it will end up on top of a pressure plate?

Simply walk towards it, you will push it this way.

As far as I noticed, the energy and mana is renewed automatically. So maybe it's enough just to stay in one place for some time? ;-) (never tried it, though)

Well, I bought and played this game when it first came out, but I must have done something wrong: I didn't like it at all. It was just boring. For some reason I kept on playing (nothing better to do, I guess), but it didn't get any better.
I can't even explain why I didn't like it, because I just can't remember any details, it was that boring. I think the fights were tedious and all the same, and, well... you too rarely found interesting items like a better weapon, I think that was another reason.
I can't agree to the review at all; but then, maybe I should download it and try it out once more...

that's weird really, the game was released in 1995, by that time Win95 were released as well, so i assumed by using compatibility mode for win95 the game should work, however i still get that cpu cracking black screen. unfortunately i cannot use dosbox since u need a nice modern pc to use it. i tried manipulating the memory of the executables but still nothing....... is there any way around the problem without using dosbox? i've seen in the previous threads that someone got it running under WinXP with no problem. I am curious to see what kind of settings he applied in order to do so. I'll play around with memory and compatibility methods a bit more but it's nerve cracking as that black screen reduce my cpu speed to virtually zero! :rifle: :help:
