You mind giving me some arguments as to why you think the excellent looking graphics in NWN ruined it ?!

The graphics were most surely not what ruined whatever it is they did. Rather the story of the game + addons wouldn't come up to the one in Baldur's Gate II or Planescape Torment.

I voted BG2 :ok: . (and there some good mods out there, that make it even better)

My top 5 rpg's are:

1. BG series :Titan:
2. Planescape Torment
3. Icewinddale series
4. Morrowind (I really like this game, but i hate combat in 1st person view.
5. Arcanum

NWN is ok too, but only in multiplayer. When you've played bg2 and compare it NWN it misses pure atmosphere. that's what i think at least.

Hm. I'd have to agree on that it doesn't quite have the atmosphere that Baldur's Gate has but if you're looking for atmosphere, I think the best games to have it were the Fallout series. All of them, including Tactics. :)

I'm actually pretty surprised that Myst didn't make it into the list, maybe thats just me. :bleh:

The poll's been pretty much discarded. The thread's just a kind of zone to express whatever we think are pretty good RPGs. And I agree with you about Diablo. :D

I don't agree with you, but the poll's longevivity is a testament to the addictivness that RPG's can provide!!
