That saves a lot more hard drive space than my suggestion, and will function much more like the original game than copying it to disk. The only problem then would be your physical cd drive, or the cd itself. A tiny crack on the cd can render some games entirely useless, and a broken cd drive will render many more games useless.

IIRC, DosBox can mount ISO and BIN images as CD-ROM drives.
