I can't wait for Half Life 2 either, and also Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas.

For me:
- NWN 2
- KOTOR2
- Vampire 2 (Bloodlines)

Hmmm, is see too many sequals here. So let's add to the list:
- Dragon Age
- Fallout 3, however is far as I know this one will never come :(

actually it is being made by by Bethesda, who made the elderscrolls game.

series, will enable us to create the next chapter of Fallout that is worthy
of the franchise.”

Originally released in 1997, Fallout places a player in the role of a
Vault-dweller, who ventures from his secluded, underground survival Vault
into a post-apocalyptic world of mutants, radiation, gangs and violence. The
game has been widely hailed as one of the outstanding role-playing games and
video games of all time with its unique gameplay, style, and setting.

Commenting on this development, Interplay Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer Herve Caen said, “This is a good agreement for both companies and
for gamers. Although several parties had a high level of interest in
licensing Fallout, we are most impressed by Bethesda’s execution of
role-playing titles. Bethesda is an ideal steward of the Fallout franchise.”

Fallout 3 will be developed by Bethesda along with the next chapter of The
Elder Scrolls, both under the direction of Todd Howard, executive producer
of The Elder Scrolls. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® won every national
and international award of note in 2002, including Game of the Year and RPG
of the Year, and is one of the best-selling games ever released on Xbox.

Future announcements about the release of Fallout 3 will be made as work on

Can anyone think of a sequal to a game that was better than the original after a different company designed it?

i dont know of any personaly but im prolly just forgetting one

well, some think thief 3 was worse than thief 1 and 2 since it was made by Ion storm instead of Looking Glass.
I think thats bullshit.
Lookinglass would have updated that ugly old Dark Engine or something (reason why I didn't buy thief 2)

another strange thing. TTLG (through the looking glass) who created thief 1 and 2 among other games does not exist anymore. Their forums are still up and being used.
It also has a forum for thief 3. They didn't make it, but its understandable that they would make a forum.
But they also have forums for morrowind and games in which (as far as I know) had no involvement in. Just asking in case somebody knows the reason.

Anyway. Perhaps since Kotor 2 isn't made by bioware it could suck... but it isn't exactly in bad hands either.
sometimes letting another company build the sequel is a good thing.
plus, knowing bethesda they'll include an editor aswell... which is always great.

anyway, its better than nothing... so shut up!

Game that i'm wating for is Star Wars Battlefront.
It looks like its going to be really nice... at least to us star wars fans out there :D

in response to Diablo 2, there alredy is a sequal called lord of destruction.

i cant imagine anyone who liked the game not knowing that i only mention it because mention that u know about the wc3 exp and not the diablo one seems odd

Edit: im looking forward to warhammer 40 K Dawn of war, im palying the beta now and its pretty sweet

edit 2 :Stroggy i never liked the thief games but i hear good things about number 3 assuming it is good that might be the only sequal to be as good as the original, unless someone else can come up with one
