Greet Game I played the demo 2 years ago :P
It remember me to Deus Ex(in some way) :max: |
:help: I can't get it to run properly. Whenever there is a sound playing, it slows down(With and without VDM Sound) and in DOSBox, it's slow no matter how many CPU cycles there are.

:bye: That's me above. Now I'm logged in too!

Zdoom does indeed improve and fix the game

*cries* All I got to play was the demo version years ago, and when I finally decided to call Velocity about ordering the game.. I find out they went out of business! Sigh.. however I did dedicate a House to STRIFE at The LOTR Fanatics Plaza, yea! ^_^

If you track down the official patches, you can use more than one save slot.
Also, if you are looking for the real inspiration for Deus Ex, play System Shock (the same key people were behind both!). It makes Strife look like nothing in terms of smarts. Get the CD enhanced version if you can. |
Thank you so much for putting this game up on the site :ok:
I registered for your board just so I could tell you how much I absolutely love this game. I was just browsing through the "All Games" section on the site, looking for some old adventure game to play through for nostalgia, when I came across Strife. As a young boy, I was addicted to this game, although I can hardly remember it. I know that this was the game that got me into games, and I think you all are the coolest incesters ever to run this site. Again, thanks so much and Happy Gaming everyone :Titan: |
Hey guys... I tried running Strife with ZDoom but it doesn't run properly for some reason. For one, you can't pick up stuff like medkits, all it leaves is a (!) sign floating in the air and you can't talk with people either. Anyone can help with this please? thanks =)
