I meant the cuesheet for the Ghost Bear's Legacy expansion... the original game works fine with music but not the expansion :dunno:.

I am still unable to get Mechwarrior 2 to run in DosBox. I keep getting "Mechwarrior 2 CD not found." I went to the trouble of burning the .bin to a CD and installing it through DosBox and then trying to run the game, but the error keeps coming.
I can only find one method of disabling the CD detection and I think it's meant for the original version (I have it patched to 1.1). Any ideas? I'd really like to play this again. edit: I also can't get the sound configuration to work either; I run mw2setup in Dosbox and Dosbox crashes as soon as I select the sound configuration option. I'm not sure why. |

For MW2 to work in DOSBox, you need several things...
1- The DOS game must be at v1.1. If it's not, grab the patch here. 3- For the music, you need to mount the game CD image via the IMGMOUNT command in DOSBox. To do this, simply put the cue/bin combo in the folder where MW2 was installed to, copy the location of it (right click on the file and copy it from there), and then add it to the "autoexec" section of DOSBox. Here's what I did for mine... imgmount e "C:\DOSGames\mech2_16b.cue" -t iso -fs iso If you don't do this, the game may very well crash or even reboot your system (that's what it did to me) when the music tries to start playing. |

Huh. Guess they fixed that part.
Well, then skip step two boys and girls  |
I've gotten it working well so far by following the instructions on the dosbox wiki, but I can't seem to get any music, any advice?

Check the soundcard configuration. Are you mounting the CUEsheet or the BIN? Might make a difference. You could see if using an external virtual drive program instead of IMGMOUNT helps (usually not recommended for performance reasons, but might be the solution here).
