you have to modify the paths in the blood.ini file, because u've changed the installation directory. After doing this everything works fine. |
Found the original cd tracks for blood as mp3:s, http://www.deathmask.net/files/sounds/mp3s/ :D
Those should be added to abandonia too :ok: |

If you guys like this game I suggest you find a copy of 'Rise of The Triad'. Very similar. I had an old shareware version when the game first came out around 96-98. Played the hell out of it even though I only had two levels. Hope you can find it.

Jay! This game is Spooky!
I also remember the Rise of the Triad.Great game. :ok: |
i read over the forum and i'm pretty sure noone has asked this question before. I went to the site with the 9 steps to get it working and followed the instructions to the letter, the game works, but the sound doesn't, which is a pity because i remember the sounds being the most disturbing thing about Blood. Curiously the music does work. When i choose sound blaster and go "use these settings and continue" it comes up with:
Sound Blaster is not responding to selected port please press any key yadda yadda my sound settings are exactly as required on the site: 0x220 sound blaster 16 or AWE32 7 1 5 and i've tried changing the first line (0x220) to everything else to no avail. The music card is General Midi and that works, so maybe i need to change my sound fx to General Midi aswell, but no selection exists. Anyone have any ideas? *edit* btw, i have onboard sound and have never had a problem with sound in anything else before, all the other dos games work but they all worked with "Sound Blaster Pro" being selected, Blood doesn't have this option |
I can't figure out how to swim in this game. I jump into the water and then I can't swim up or down. The problem with this of course if that I can't get out of the water once I'm in it and I end up drowning. Can anyone offer any help?
