The open source version of this game is great. all you do is install tycoon for windows then install Open Tycoon. It asks where the game files are during install. It has many great features like multiplayer (more than 2) bigger maps and much more. check it out its well worth the DL.

Sure, fine... A link would be great tough.

What's with the trend of advertising things and never talking about it or giving links? I know this problem is mainly on Reloaded, but yet... How would someone expect me to check on something if they can't even even lit my curiosity?

Oh well, at least the above post gave a good description of what it is.

Hello, I have been trying to get this to work for ages now and I finally got over one problem with Kosta's help ages ago but then I formatted the machine (whoopdeedoo) but the program was still not working anyway, now I just get the error that I am missing a dll file and I can't find it on the net:

GameGFX.exe - Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because mpssnd_c.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I would but I haven't got the CD and basically I can't find the file on the net, can anyone send me an email with it attached? Please? Thanks at apoorva.bansal (at) gmail.com.

:ok: Nice! Deluxe edition even. Microsoft should really remake this game. Just for some new and more in-depth managing ofcourse. The game is brilliant just the way it is.

I remember when I played Transport Tycoon the first time.

Difficulty easy, my competitors were eleminated quite fast and after a while no new apeared. Guess they would have had more success if their trucks would not cross my railways. Well, bad luck

So I started projects like "the highest mounten", "the longest tunnel", "one airport in every city" (which failed cause of the station limit) or "straight track around the whole map"

Then when monorails became available I reconstructed my whole railway system with advanced techniques to save track and stations

Well, not very good for the highscore, but it was a lot of fun :)

Thats how I play too :) I never hit the station limit yet, do you remember how many it was?

I think 8 bus stations in a town and two airfields in it! :D As for trains and docks I don't know how much!!!

The only limit I remember from the top of my head was 80 trains, which I always reached way too soon. But that was not in the deluxe version, but the earlier "standard version". I still need to try the deluxe one day...

I completely agree.

Really a nice way to play the game. :)
