Just wondering: are you still collecting gemstone riddles? I got three riddles which aren't on the list yet.

This is probably a stupid question, but does anybody know what exactly those different endings are? And what does it depend on which one you get - just your score, or does the number of outlaws and the ransom you collected matter as well? They should, really, otherwise what would be the point in listing them in the first place?

I will have to fire it up and play intentionally bad..but I think that the Sheriff and Abbot can be pardoned and you and your outlaws could get hung for playing poorly and not helping people and the like.

So far I've only managed the "good" ending, the "good" ending minus Marian and the "bad" one (i. e. getting hanged - but Richard spared the outlaws for some reason), and that one was very hard to achieve. It's pretty depressing for an ending, though, so it wasn't really worth it... But I've read somewhere that there are at least five different endings, and I was wondering what the others might be.

I found a site belonging to Christy Marx, who has writing credit on this game, where you can download Conquests of the Longbow and also Conquests of Camelot. I've been playing Longbow and it seems to work fine. Is this likely to be legal? Is it okay for me to post a link here? I know you're not allowed to link to warez but as these are allegedly put up by the writer, I'm confused as to whether they're okay to link to or not.

A. J. Raffles 28-07-2005 06:39 AM

I doubt the writer will actually own the rights to the game, though...

I'll post the link to download it.

link removed

I mean, if the DESIGNER herself is releasing the game on her site for free? Then we as the "abadonia community" cant possibly be breaking any laws right ?

Well, here you go!! ENJOY - This is my contribution to this site. MY way of "thanking" you abandonia!!!

Even if you are the designer (I'll give you the benefit of the doubt), you still don't own the rights to the game, they belong to the parent company, which is a member of ESA. so any download link is violating their copyright (unless they have permission, which is rare) and so is breaking the law. That is why I've remved the link - Havell

I am playing it again after umpteen years and am stuck at the 'Nine Man Morris' game for the gem. I've completely forgotten how to play it and beat the 'nasty' veteran. Never before did I have this problem, but then that was years and years ago.

:help:

Oh! And by the way I have the manual which deals with the gemstone riddles, the Druid hand and the coat of arms...need it?

Tom said something about somebody scanning the manual about a month ago, but apparently putting up scans and boxshots takes quite a while. None of my scans are up yet.:(
Anyway, if I were you I'd send a PM to Tom about the manual in case he wants it anyway. He likes to have all sorts of scans, not just manuals but boxes, disks - anything scannable, really.

If you're finding the nine men's morris bit too hard, you might try setting the difficulty setting as low as possible during that scene. But actually it's quite easy.

Easy sez you...here I am trying to lose the first game so that I can play with him again (only four men left) but he doesn't seem to want to win
