Thank you, Arete. I will try that one.
To the others, I agree, Mac is not good for gaming, but some of us need to work, you know? And who can trust a PC these days? P.S.: Have a PC with Linux in here, but it is a desktop and I want to play exactly when I'm on my brakes. |
we were joking dude=P
but yeah, #@#@#@ Mac. PS: i don't mean to turn this into another mac vs windows discussion, but first of all, mac is pc. and second of all, i work and code both on my windows box and linux box pretty well, it's only the name, price, design and commercials that make mac "better for work". utter bullshit |

By the way, I don't mean to take any side in this. I love Windows from 3.11 to XP, I'm pretty happy with Ubuntu now, and the only reason I wanted to run BioForge on my Mac is because this is my notebook and I have it most of the time with me. |
Meh, the way I see it:
- Macs use expensive hardware and charge a premium on top of that - Macs use standardized hardware ... and charge a premium on top of that - as a result, they can focus on proper drivers for that hardware. Expensive hardware + drivers that have had a LOT of time to be developed = a stable system On the other hand, XP and Vista are rock solid today despite having millions of different driver & hardware configurations. The main frustration with Windows, comes from people who spend next to nothing on a crappy PC and expect it to run like a Mac. Some Mac fanboys at work bought a PC at Aldi (a European store that is very very cheap) and then went to compare it to a Mac that cost 4 times that amount :sucks: Buy a proper PC, get a proper anti-virus, and you'll rarely have any problems. In fact, the Macs at work have to reboot WAY more than my workstation PC. Macs are not great on networks either - they'll often refuse to connect to a server until you reboot. Heck, they'll drop the connection now and then as well. When it comes to networks, Macs are still primitive. And of course, servers are always PCs. In the end, if you want freedom of hardware, a smaller dent in your wallet and a much larger software base ... well PC is the best way to go. If you want to use your computer for making your own vids and stuff with integrated software, if you want things to be simpler, if you want to pay through the nose, wahey, Mac it is. The few programs thate are Mac-only only mean anything in a workplace that uses them. |
Mac x Win aside, I'm stuck. *SPOILERS*
Ok, so I got the time to finally play the game again. Running on Linux with no problem, everything working fine.
Now, The last puzzle I remember from when I played back in the day was the hexagons one. Everything is fine, but now I can't get back to the room with the various tunnels. I got the new bat, the reflective cube and the baster, but I can't shoot in the room with no gravity, so I can't reach the other end. The non working blaster is a glitch, or this is correct and I'm not thinking enough? |
No one? Any help? Hello?
|
sorry leopat, i haven't reached so far in the game, so can't answer your question:((!
i am stuck in a place before that, just after killing the bot on level 4:flame::flame::sucks: would anyone please explain to me how do i open the door opposite the elevator next to the burning bot!! The puzzle has to do with the airlock configuration. I don't understand the pattern and the walkthroughs miss this point::bleh2::sneaky::sneaky:((! |
what does it mean: the grid is in x-y emulation mode??!

@ Vorion
Think about it: O-ring. You have 9 squares. How do you make a ring out of it? :OK:
