Yes the talkie version is awesome, loved the voices of the IRS guys :D
I must've beaten the game 3 times now, once on plain DOS, once on DOSBox, and now on SCUMMvm + talkie version. |
I've actually still got the original talkie cd, complete with strategy guide that came with it. Yep, the talkie is the way to go. It would have been really hilarious if they credited uncle Ted with a voice actor.

You know, you're right. Can I use CD's with ScummVM?
|
Should work, but it works perfectly with DOSBox (I should know - played it a few times already)
|
scummvm is also a great option. i don't know if a modern SDL app has any benefits over a dos virtual machine (or vice versa), but it just feels nicer playing it on a brand spanking new engine. :)
yeah. dott is one of those games that makes you really wish you could just forget the entire game and play it again. and again. and again. and... i think dott is one of the most clever games i've ever played. |

Oh, wow. Just played it again, and after all that time it can still make me crack up laughing. Hoagie is the man.

Yaeh, it really increases the fun-factor, hehe. By the way: the guys that are making DOTT2 have published a christmas goodie on their site. Have look! (If that is considered as warez then just delete the link. I donīt see it as a warez link) GOODIE And: What do you think about Maniac Mansion Mania ? Unfortunately itīs just in German. But maybe youīre interested, though... |
Well, eventually I bet it will get put into english. They did it for 1503...
