Yeah, why remake a game if the original's so great?
If I were learning to program, rather than make a remake, maybe make a special edition or even a sequel starring ryan's son or something (say he got eden pregnant at the end of the first one) |
I love this game and have played it so many times over the years. I remember reading a page of the Diary that was published in an amiga magazine back before the game was released. Sadly I never got the game for the amiga, but luckily enough I found it years later for the PC.
The atmosphere in this game is incredible, only down side is that the game is way to short and can be done in under an hour. Still there are very few games that feel like this one, i love bleak futuristic style games. Well anyway hope this isnt against the rules but I started doing a Video Playthru of this game on my site, which can be access here http://www.dl4002.co.uk/dw/ I tried to make the site look like the Dreamweb interface LOL so if anyone fancy's watching me playthru this game you can do it there. |

I finally sat down and finished this one, I've actually wanted to ever since I read the review in an old 1994 PC Gamer (this mag also had a review of System Shock, man I wish I'd kept it).
Anyway, what a great atmospheric and different adventure. The gore and themes would have been quite shocking back then, when everyone was kicking up a stink about such games as Mortal Kombat. The soundtrack is awesome. A few puzzles could have been easier to solve. I found the Diary of a Madman and manual on another site. |
Voice Acting Version!!!
Hey guys! I found the voice acting cd version in my brother's room.
Would it be a good idea to put it on here, or do we just have to stick with the silent version? |
The CD version is already available in the ISO Cellar which is only accessible to members. Please do not post any links here.

I feel like an idiot now...

But I heard there was 3 versions. The floppy, the CD, and the voice acting that was on a CD. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I get this from people I knew in real life, not on the internet. |
