zlazz Unfortunately the plot of this quite interesting game suffers badly from the adverse consequence a certain action can result in when done at the wrong time. Meaning that you'll get hopelessly stuck later in the game unless certain (often unrelated) actions have either been done first or have been left until the time is right to do them. Of course there's no way of knowing what or how some actions are going to affect others so when play collapses into a dead end the only answer is to start again and do things differently while also trying to remember how earlier objectives were attained. It's not worth restoring any saved games since the error in sequence could have occured at any time thus any restart is hardly worth the effort or annoyance.

An example is the confusion about the use of the Recorder. What needs to be done and when to do it is just a matter of guesswork - even the walkthrough doesn't know the answer with its advice to "walk around a bit". A shame that those who construct these games can't seem to sort out how to prevent them from screwing up.

SPOILER ALERT:
If you retrieve the recorder too soon then eventually you are told the tape is empty.
If you wait too long then the occupants return to their room and you can't get the recorder.
So is it more walking around or is there something else that should or shouldn't have been done?
Many of the later steps in the solve can be done but the game cannot be finished without a recorded cassette.
At this point the annoyance factor is extreme and the game as well as the solution breaks down.

dummbatz This game is trash. It's programmed poorly, the graphics are ugly and it's really unfair. But I still like it. Don't forget to save all the time and use a walkthrough for help, then you might be able to enjoy it.

harmless I really thought the story was a neat idea, but almost impossible without the walkthrough. Unfortunately some of the triggers in the game can be accomplished out of order and it leaves you stuck with no idea of what do to next, because there is nothing that *can* be done next. :not_ok: Good Idea, really poor design.

Nightkin The problem with this game is, that it doesnt give the player a clue what to do next.
You can ''die'' even just by entering the kitchen. Thats just frustrating. Thats what comes in my mind, when I remember back on playing this game.

Off course it doesnt mean, that it has to be a bad game for anyone else. It was just my personal opinion.

Oh, i see that my comment was postet two times. One time as a guest
Courld someone plz delete the guest post?

My pleasure - Havell

Just because you gave it a "3" it doesnt mean its a ''3''.
Off course not. Everybody can have an opinion, but I just thought your argument (the reason this game is bad is because I couldn't finish it) wasn't really solid.

There are many games I never was able (or didn't realy try to) finish, still I think those games are really good.

I said ''in my opinion'' the game is a ''2''.

Just because you gave it a "3" it doesnt mean its a ''3''.
Well, it is a 3 in the editor rating... But that's why there are two ratings, right?
