No, you haven't. Check again. This error bugged me for a LONG time, actually. It seems to occur on a random basis. Has nothing to do with DOSBOX either - been there on pure DOS 486 machine. |

*scowls at hir computer* :help: ARG! EcoQuest 2 is a game that has driven me mad for the past 4 or 5 years, due to the fact that I couldn't find a working copy of it. Thanks to you guys here at Abandonia, I have a copy... except I can't get past the tribal ceremony for/with Forest Heart. Here's the scenario: Adam (the game's main character for those unfamiliar with said game) picks up the flower from Forest Heart, and the background fades to black (which is normal) leaving Adam, the shaman, and the path at the normal brightness (also normal). The screen suddenly goes to black, with the error "888.pal not found" or something very similar (which is NOT normal). I've tried the suggestion of slowing down the program, using Turbo in the background while I play, but it made no difference (unless I haven't gotten the speed % right in any of my attempts...), so now I'm completely stuck. Almost all the other games that I've gotten and played from this site work perfectly (or close enough that it doesn't matter), so this problem has me ready to hit something! :angry: If anyone has some suggestions, PLEASE email me at hcrummey@swgc.mun.ca as soon as possible! :tai: Thanks in advance!
