THAT REALLY SOLVES THE PROBLEM!!!

*.googlesyndication.com produces the ad and when blocked, the ad will not appear anymore.

EDIT: I would not have investigated to remove the ad, if there were some way to move it or to close it. But this fixed ad is just a sadistic (or unfinished) piece of work, which needs to be blocked!

_r.u.s.s. we don't get money, the company that the website owner sold site's soul to gets it. but yeah it also helps to keep this site online

CorruptMylar Thanks,
The /vbullet and Ad Block for mozilla worked a charm. The link David86 gave worked too, but it made me too hungry. Abandonia is delicious enough without the added cholesterol.

But don't you guys get a little extra cash if we click ads?

Damn, now I really do want some bacon. :P

Dave Threads merged, in case the vbullet redirect doesn't work try this: Link ()

Mighty Midget In the meanwhile, use the vbullet link. It will only show the forum but at least you get rid of them ads.

Just type /vbullet right after abandonia.com

It's more a way to tell you to look 2 topics or so below the one you created.
Same ol'stuff.

Jokes aside, I agree it probably must be annoying.
Adblock maybe?

Japo We're sorry about that, we'll try to fix it. We have to contact Studentis for that.

Arrgh! - Ads by Google are in my way.

I have an annoying problem with the Ads by Google box. It will position itself directly below the Search textbox and right over the Forum Tools pulldown menu. It gets right in my way and blocks text when I'm on the forum section.

I was lucky that it had a little piece of the pull-down menu showing for Forum Tools or otherwise I may not have been able to even post this thread.

I've tried the zoom scale and I've tried switching between IE and Firefox to see if it was a quirk of each program.

I'm running Window's Vista, latest version of FF and IE. My monitor is an LCD TV (1376 x 758, tried adjusting to no avail).

I don't mind ads. You need them for revenue. I just don't want them right in my way.

Or is this maybe a subtle way to tell me you don't want me to post and I'm just not taking the hint.

I gave you money yesterday...<sniff>

HPerk Just mark googlesyndication.com as unwanted site in the security options in your browser and this ad is banned.

I have this as well, but nothing blocks that nasty little Google ad. It literally doesn't go away until I leave the site. It stays there, fully visible as I jump between pages/threads/forums (as in, even when the page turns white during the transition, that ad is still there... like some sticker on my monitor screen).

Guess I'll have to do the "right-click" thing for now.
