moogle Sorry about "spamming" this thread, but I think it is a really good idea, and deserves to be revieved, as the decission for a "yes" or "no" hasn't happened yet...

What if someone recives a "burnt" copy?
They will blame Abandonia.
Perhaps proof? Asin a photograph taken by the trader proving that it's the original? If the image is not the trader's own the warn count should go up 1.

marko river Well, i think it is little complicated and that Abandonia don't need such stuff right now.

However, it is possible to create sub-forum for this things. Then people will have topics ONLY FOR THEIR OWN COUNTRIES. Otherwise, i don't see the point of paying transport more than the game itself.

That may solve lot of problems. Trading within the countries may bring few smiles and is less risky. When finding what you want, you should use PM. Then again, you can use PM for abroad transfers, but you can do this without this sub-forum anyway.

If someone gets ripped-off, it is his own mistake. You shouldn't trade with someone completely new on the forum. Maybe this should be allowed just for VIP, then people will be motivatied in contributing to the site :bleh:

People discussing and trading within a single country is less risky but all this would be still a sensitive for this site. It is up to owner to decide. Probably you'll get this forum if you automatically agree that you use will trade at your own risk.

I think it would be a great idea!!!
And yes, it should only be for registered members.
And if a person does get ripped off then the seller should be banned in a week unless he agrees to send the buyer the game.
Overall, I think its a great idea
banning for a week doesn't seem like a very hard punishment...I mean, someone could create an account just to rip someone off.

I meant that the person who ripped the other guy off has a week to give the guy that got riped off the game or w/e, or else the guy who ripped off the buyer gets a PERM ban.

Mr Miau Just a possiblity: Someone specific in the forum could be the middleman. That means a very popular and serious person here receives the money from the buyer and tells the seller that he got it. The latter now sends the game/whatever to the buyer, who informs the middlesman when the package was delivered, causing the him to send the money further...

The only problem: Who would make that voluntarily and is at the same time trusted by everyone?

Then again, you are under the same contract as when you use Ebay (the risk of being ripped off). I think it's mostly an honor system, which is fine, with the buyer sending the money first through PayPal, then the seller sending the game.
