Actually earlier that day (morning really) I downloaded amberstar and that went at normal speed. I think that it was that my server may have had a lot action at that time and I'll try again in a couple of days at late night/early morning which seems to be the best time for downloading for me. Oh yeah, I'm from Australia, East Coast. |

Downloading Civ2 to test, and i'm pulling 120 kByte / sec here... where are you living? btw: All accellerators are blocked activly by this site, so it's useless to try. EDIT: 117KByte averige over 20 MByte |

Well, my last download was kinda slow, but not THAT slow. Most of the time it's around 60 kb/sec, and I concider that to be a fast connection (one of the many good features of abandonia k: )

Maybe your telephone line is "dirty inside", provider has problems, already downloading something, ... Don't know really. :angel: |

I never had any speed problems downloading from this site. I don't know (don't remember unless it is something special (like the 985kilobytes per sec of the doom 3 demo, which doesn't run on my laptop btw) what the average speed is from this site, but, the last one I did was Super Speed a few days ago at (according the the transfer window of opera) 50.1KB/s Which is very fast considering a) it is free, b)it is a "homemade" site, c)the size of the games. 700k/s is slow, perhaps something else was restricting your downloading speed, or just unlucky that one time?? |

modem burnt onto a CD? sounds like modern art to me, that. You won't get the same maximum speed here as you would from, say, fileplanet, because kosta can't afford it (obviously) but you should get a lot more than 700 bytes/sec. |
