Mighty Midget DOSBox 0.70 has an issue with joysticks, so until a new version arrives, you can always use 0.65. About that frontend, I have no idea, but you can try running DOSBox and the game without the frontend if you're having problems with the 0.65.

Javaguy Hi all, Long time since I've been around..

anyway, Im having a bit of trouble with Red Baron, my favourite game

Anyway, the problem is with joystick support. Dosbox detects my joystick, yet usually in Red Baron it won't let me use it- i.e in the menu it wont let me change joystick to on. Sometimes it works, which is awesome, except after I get shot down and crash or die, I get no in game sound and no joystick.. I go to the menu and again, it wont let me turn it on.

I've tried various joysticks- the Xbox 360 controller and a proper flight joystick but both dont work. Its odd, as in Dosbox 0.65 it was perfect. I installed 0.65 and tried running red baron with that from D.O.G but it didnt work- the intro ran veeery slowly despite 11,000 cpu cycles (which is what it runs fine on on 0.70) and it didnt get to the menu.

So yeah, wierd problem eh?

Any help would be appreciated

~Javaguy

oops, forgot the obligitory SOS smiley: there, thats better.
