grumps @t methuselah - as mentioned previously by myself, can't resume downloads from a server that does not allow resuming. i use fdm. used to be able to generate a new link to add a new mirror to continue an interrupted download previously, but no longer works for the games. the 'extras' are not affected at this time, you can still resume your downloads without worrying about adding mirrors or new urls etc.

The Fifth Horseman All means of P2P sharing are legal in and of themselves. That includes BitTorrent. The legality of contents shared across them is a separate matter altogether.

That's not quite how it works, but I do get what you meant. It may be possible at some point in the future, for now we'll start with a single one and see how it works out.

El Quia P2P is legal, and torrent is legal too. What is illegal is the sharing of copyright-protected media, no matter in which medium is being shared. It's not the P2P paradigm which is illegal. Although maybe I misunderstood your post and missed the point by far

Every time that companies, governments, stupid people in general tries to act "against P2P technology" make me want to put the world to the fire. They don't/can't understand that P2P has legals uses and for some kind of distribution schemes it is very important!

Sorry for going into OT territory

That's the idea.

If you mean the new system that prevents cURL from working, that was precisely my assumption.

Peter No matter how good the programmer is there is always the possiblity of mistakes. So I hope studentis can fix the security issue as the system worked pretty well. I don't think the download system is as complex as the site, so it might be pretty easy for them

Japo, maybe the system was introduced to prevent those leechers
