dosraider That guide won't work well if you're on Vista or Win7, then you need a folder in \users\your name\ and mount that as virtual C: in dosbox
Read the tutorials.

And in fact even if you're on XP the virtual C:\ mount of that guide is basicly wrong.
Same remark: read the tutorials.

lennywing Hey everyone,

I've got a similiar problem:

- I've mounted the correct folder.
- I used this guide (http://jh-isch.de/s2/tipps/t_dosbox.php) Well, it's german but I just wanted to mention it.
- Version: DOSBox 0.74

I really dont know what to do! Every tipp or suggestions would be awesome. =)

Eagle of Fire Those kind of questions are best left to be asked in the relevant thread in the Abandonia Games Discussion thread. You can access it via the game page on this site, it will be quickier this way.

When you'll ask your question there, the whole lot of Settlers II fans will be there to help you discover the beaty of this game.

Happy gaming!

unknown located on my desktop (completely filled with shortcuts btw.)
was an exe known as s2v151

first i double clicked this. it created a file and filled it with data. but not all the data. i noticed this and took the data from the .rar and copied it onto the folder created by .exe s2151 this basically meant that i didn't have the right directory so the game data wasn't together (but it looked like it was.)

anyway i tried it it works and the game is awsome. but before we leave how the heck do i attack! (i have 23 privates fortress' and all the likes, and i was in the millitary menu. when i click on the evil fort it says can't attack in the attack menu.

And thank you for giving the details how you solved the problem, and stating where you screwed up your first try runs.

You're very helpful towards other dosbox beginners that can encounter the same problem.

Maybe you could begin with telling us:
-> OS?
-> Dosbox version?
-> Your mount lines?
-> How you try to launch the game?

But if you want links:

Happy reading.
