Morrin Hmm.. works fine with my PC. Have you tried the allmighty and amazing tenebrae: http://tenebrae.sourceforge.net/index.php ? It makes you leak. ;-)

FreeFreddy I started that version / modification too, but it misses some OpenGL file and I have no idea where to get it. Well, nevermind, there won't be any time to play it at all.
You don't need to answer to this post anymore, but thank you nevertheless.

FreeFreddy Ok, probably first time I need help on my own. Does anyone of you know how to get Quake 1 running in Windows XP or 98SE? In DosBox it's waaay too slow, even if I would have newest, best machine it would be that, I guess. In Windows XP or 98SE the executable for Dos doesn't start at all, of course. The Windows executable that's supposed to run in Windows 95 doesn't the work either, under both Windows versions not, tried anything (especially the compatibility mode in Windows XP). Although to be honest, it didn't start under Windows 95 back on my old PC either, just crashed all the time...
Does anyone of you have a hint for this? It's about 4 years ago now that I played it on my old Pentium 100 and I was never able to start it on the actual Pentium 4 2.4Ghz I have now.
