Eagle of Fire This is the troubleshooting section, not the Favorite Oldies and Newbies. Try to solve your problem, not spam the place around with unimportant chatting (rule #1). If this continue I'll either close or move the thread.

Wicked Will Webster Ok. Will attempt to find some patches and muck about with compatability modes.
I thought that Might and Magic 8 was way better gaming and cutscenewise (the finale for M & M7 really let me down) but i'll admit i think the plot for M & M7 was more interesting. I mean, seriously, you spend the whole of M&M8 leading up to a huge battle with the Planeswalker Escation, only to have three riddles thrown at you.

So hopefully i'll get M&M9 working soon, only to find out that it really is as bad as everyone else says it is!
By the way Nick, the difference between Laptop and notebooks is that Laptops are essentially mobile computers while notebooks are pretty much mobile typewriters.

Cheers dudes. If i get the time i might join the forum proper and grace you all with my infinite lack of knowledge and inappropriate sarcasm.

I can't get Might and Magic 9 to run on my Laptop and it's driving me mad. Having played Might and Magic 7 and 8, both of which have run without mishap, i was looking forward to hacking my way through the next in the sequel. But alas, despite my reasonably high spec machine i'm suffering from choppy intro graphics, ridiculous loading times and total game crashes!!! Help, please.
Laptop is the same as Notebook?
Anyway, I can't help you with that. I played M&M9 on my PC in Win2000 without much problems. There were hangings from time to time, but that's nothing. Anyway, you won't miss much, if you won't play in this... game. Such sh*t I haven't seen for ages. When I first run M&M9, I realized, that it is the worst game of series. It was good saying in one article I read in Net about this game: "M&M9 is good game, until you start to move the mouse..."
In all... nothing interesting. That's my IMHO.
