Well drat.

Sadly I dont know enough about Amigas to know what kind I need to run Bards Tale. Is there an "Amiga Emulation for Dummies" out there somewhere?

EDIT: or Can someone show me how to use one of the other emulators for Bards Tale that looks half way decent? Apple GS? Atari ST?

Thanks!

Well, I believe that I found the correct BIOS (I hope so anyway)... I was just wondering if I am using it right... since I have used DOS before so i know about cd commands and such. The amiga I have never used.. so is there a way to load the ROMs? hard boot the system etc etc

Tracker Well, I had some experiences with Amiga emulation back on WinXP, it's one nasty b___h.
The Kickstart disks (sort of DOS bootdisks for Amiga), and roms are copyrighted material.
Alternatively, you could just get the latest AmigaOS, which I suppose is freeware.

Axiom Does anyone have any tips on how to get this running on the Amiga?

I downloaded WinUae and the Bards Tale Roms and it boots and goes to a screen where it says "searching for bootable media"

What additional steps do I need to take to get this working?

Thanks again!

Solution!!!!

I found that if you play the game outside of dosbox the 'S' works perfectly! So all you have to do is bear the annoying bloops long enough to enter the copy protection and go back to dosbox!

Oh Well...

Maybe it's just my computer...

DarthHelmet86 So you can't use the letter S for names either? I just checked on my copy and I could put S in the names, I am not going to play through the game to that point to test out the copy protection though. Sounds like there might be something wrong with your archive or dosbox, maybe one of the users with more knowledge about this game or dosbox can help.
